A lot of times when these movies end it leaves us with a feeling of wanting to know what happens next. In this case, we get to see what happens next with Theo and Kim! 2022's "Destined at Christmas" was an unexpected gem and I'm glad GAC decided to give us a sequel.
Now, is the sequel just as good as the original? Well, no, but it IS enjoyable and worthwhile. In this movie, we already have an established couple so we don't get the same dramatic plot points as a couple who's just getting to know each other. The main plot line here is Theo finding the right time to ask Kim to marry him. The two leads still have great chemistry and if you enjoyed the first movie definitely check this one out as well!

Just couldn't get into the plot Ashley character was way too whiny very unhappy character. It's supposed to be a Christmas movie and it seems like everybody was unhappy. The plot was very comical not very Christmasy at all. I had to change the channel in the middle. It was just way too boring for my taste. The fiancé was very unhappy in the relationship. I will not watch this movie. I'm sure there's better to come in the future. Christmas movies are supposed to be a Time of happy, but I found this movie the characters blah. The plot was boring of missing ring in the cake. I don't understand where they were going with this movie.
This is such a beautiful and uplifting Family Friendly Romantic Comedy. Such authentic characters and performances by the Cast. The settings also feel right at home along with the high quality cinematography and editing, and background music help to transport you to the story.
Watching this Christmas theme movie in February Valentine's Day only adds to its special charm; that love truly transcends all seasons and can be experienced at any time.
This movie is a great reminder that perfection is not necessary when our heart's desire, intent, and purpose is to love.
Without spoiling the movie it is a wonderful sequel; a very heartfelt story.

I love these movies!! Shae and Casey's real-life friendship are evident in their chemistry on screen. The only issue I really have is If anyone were to re-watch the first film however, at the end, you'll see both Kim and Theo with rings on their left hand, indicating that somewhere in the "one year later" they got married. The premise for this second film is pretty much bout the timing of Theo proposing to Kim. And as much as the "just missing each other" irks me, I love that these stories are different from the usual Christmas scripts; I think that's part of the reason why fans love it. Also, did they change the name of the baby from the first movie?? I can't remember :)
Watching this makes me think more romantic movies need sequels. This might be better than the first one. The mystery of not knowing when or where the proposal will happen was fun. It has dramatic tension and some light comedy but it doesn't overwhelm the romance. The romance was done pretty much perfectly.
As for other characters, the brother and sister-in-law now have their baby. I love the progression from the first movie. Having Ashley help them out in her 12 days of Christmas was clever. The ensemble cast is used really well and adds to the cozy feeling of the movie.
I would like to see GAC do at least one more entry to make it a trilogy.

- GoofsAt the end of the first movie, Destined at Christmas, Theo and Kim were both wearing wedding rings, indicating they were already married. And baby Victoria was already born; but in this movie, Theo refers to this one as her first Christmas. A much better sequel to the first movie would be for Theo and Kim to possibly be having their own baby at Christmas with a storyline centered around that instead of completely ignoring the ending of the original movie.
