This is the best TV series I've ever seen. I found it right then, when I was tired enough of these American stupid series.
In my opinion it's better. The script is original, the camera work is great and the actors play excellent. In every episode the action is interesting and the humor is original and awesome. Beside the comedy, the series contain lessons for the real life.
There are 6 seasons x 20 episodes. The film "Kitchen in Paris" is also a great one. The TV series is a masterpiece and I'm sure you will like it!

Where do I begin?
The plot might not seem like much at a first glance, but trust me,the writing quality might even surpass "Breaking Bad". The story follows young Max,who is about to embark on a journey of biblical proportions. He will learn everything there is to know about cooking from 5 mythical cooks. One of them is a cooking deity,to us mortals known as Viktor Petrovich. When he doesn't crack jokes,Vitja is cracking eggs and making extravagant French suppers.
This tear-jerker of a story will teach you how to live, laugh and most importantly...love. Sadly you won't learn how to cook.'Cause you were not chosen.
The deaths and other violent scenes are done in good taste, and executed perfectly. The funny scenes don't take away from the emotional turmoil that came before.
Characters have such depth that you can't differentiate them from real people. I once had a dream that I lead a happy life living with Vitja as a roommate. One day he left to live in Paris to persue his career as a god-emperor of the Kitchen. I was devestated. I woke up,drenched in sweat and tears.
That's how much of an impact characters leave on you.
I don't want to spoil much more. This is a journey you have to embark on with Maxim on your own.
Be prepared to cut out all earthly desires and materialistic possesions for the next 56 hours and 40 minutes, because my friend, you are setting foot on a path of enlightenment.

This is a serial of a comedy genre. But don't think that it has only comic scenes, there are also many serious problems from a real life. When you are watching this really well managed serial you get really relaxed, pleasured and it brings to you a little happiness , which is rare thing in the XXI century. Now let's talk about the cast, most of you won't be able to recognize that actors or actresses, but trust me that they made one of the best staff I've ever seen . The reason serial is as good as I explain is the staff .So this TV-serial has a good contrast of both comic and dramatic features. After all this , I advice you to watch "Kukhnya" as soon as you can . And also I had no chance to tell the cast "thank you " for this really great time I had when i was watching it. I hope I helped you to choose a TV-serial to watch .
This serial is about a restaurant and the staff that works in it- the chefs, the head chef, the waiters, the barmen, the owner the hostess & so on & so forth.
Lets start with the good parts- The director, it's the same person who brought us "What man talk about", probably mostly because of him the series is well made, the actors mostly play well and the camera work is good. The directors humour is pretty good, so even if you don't like the series you'll still be laughing from time to time.
The bad- just an average American inspired series in the line with "Friends", "Family Guy" & all the other average garbage that is produced by the masses.
Conclusion- If you like good movies/series do yourself a favour & skip this. For Christ's sake do a little bit of research & choose a good movie so you won't feel like you wasted the little precious time you have between your cradle and your grave. On the other hand if you return from work and the only thing you are able to do is watch some TV, well then you have truck load of stuff to watch for the brain- dead & this is one of them. If this is the kind of stuff you choose to see then my point of view isn't for you.

Started to watch this show just recently, from the first season I began to understand how professionally filmed this show, even in Hollywood, not everyone would be able to create the atmosphere that is here, the actors are on high, despite the fact that this is a comedy, in it there are many vital moments, and they are expressed very competently, that literally begins to catch on while watching each series, each season has its own twist, the plot can change unexpectedly, sometimes I wonder how they could make such a masterpiece series in Russia, there are hints of black humor, and it catches on even more, because you do not know what begins series and what ends.
