I was/have been a fan of multiverse stories before it became hip. Crisis on Two Earths was a pretty good animated movie with a much more straightforward story. Between the chunky animation style and the meandering story, this didn't work for me.
Repeating to meet requirements.

Five years after the Arrowverse tackled DC Comics' most iconic storyline, the DCAU takes on Crisis on Infinite Earths. Part One generously adapts the source material, but ends up as a surprise Flash film instead. With nearly the entire chapter spent following the Scarlet Speedster, the opportunity to explore the multiverse is barely grazed upon. Failing to deliver what's promised, Part One creates a lackluster experience. The voice acting is bearable and better than other DCAU projects, but the animation is drastically worse than the previous standard. DC Animated films have rarely been more than fine, and Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One is unfortunately not one of the few exceptions.
Im not a huge comic buff so I dont know all the characters, according to other reviewers it seems they they did the good all gender swap which just isnt cool, but not any of the major ones.
I dont get the criticism of the animation I think it looks just fine. Voice acting is also great, if you look at the cast almost all of them are very well known actors.
The story is a little weird, like the start doesnt really link up with the ending if you ask me.
The only thing is sincerely disliked about this movie was the character "hoshi". She is this super genius who is acting all brash with a big mouth and is overall just annoying. You know her.. the classic modern strong female who needs no man.. She just felt like a token self insert of whoever made this movie.
But hey.. maybe she is just a dick in the comics and I just dont know it. Either way I really disliked the sections with her in them..

An uninterestingly useless, too mild of a 'Crisis on...' DC animation. It's like a walk in a park with 85 years olds, even though many of them look young. The screenplay is not interesting, like an old photo album, the animation is so so, unthrilling, the visual effects just bear the name of visual effects, the score is good actually and better than the rest along with the voice-overs which at times is like the actors are on Valium while reading their lines.
It would have been so much better to have the two parts fused in one "hell" of a production with smooth "joints" and continuity and only then would it have gathered a 7+ to 8+ .

I was going into this with high expectations. From Flashpoing Paradox, War, and the Dark movies to this? Really? For starters, the quality of the animation is a huge step back. This looks like Dexter's Laboratory from 20 years ago. Another problem is that DC Animation excels when it's rated R. I could almost entertain showing it to my younger ones, but the animation is just bad. With new movies out like Blue Eyed Samurai, how can Warner Bros not keep up with modern standards?
This is a beloved story and a chance to really take DC Animation to another level. It's the one category where DC has been beating Marvel for quite some time. It didn't have to be as gory as the War movie, but some real deaths to show the impact of the situation would've helped. I don't think I care to watch the next 2 movies of this unless they look completely different. All in all, the wrong people seemed to have been selected to make this movie. It's nowhere near as good as what's been coming out for DC Animation. Watch it if you're a fan, but go in with low expectations. The Crisis on Two Earths was better than this and that was made in 2010. When James Wood's voiced Owl Man, that was memorable. Those characters are in this movie and somehow just come off as worse. That plot was way better too. Big L here for DC, get your act together and redo whatever you were working on for part 2 or just lose money the way Marvel has been now for awhile.
