It's hard to put a finger on why it's so bad. It sounds like the child characters are voiced by adults, and badly. Everyone speaks so fast and over each other. The music is inane. The narrator repeats what has just happened or been said already. Characters flop all about the scene like they are all hyperactive. I imagine it was produced for a fraction of the budget of the original series, and it's pretty evident.
The original peppa series is not without flaws. However, there's a chasm between that show and this. At least it is relatively calm, has actually decent humour in some parts. I'd be sad if someone's only experience of peppa was this version and it put them off (and wouldn't be surprised if it did)

As the title says, Peppa Pig tales has absolutely nothing of what made the original special. Where the original Peppa Pig was witty, had hidden/subtle adult jokes within the episodes which the kids wouldn't pick up on, brilliant voice acting and excellent writing, Peppa Pig Tales has none of it.
There is terrible voice acting (other than the actor of Mummy Pig, who seems to be the only continuation from the original?), atrocious writing and the entire world of Peppa Pig seems lifeless in this series. This series should never have been made, it is an affront to the brilliance of the original, and is unbearable on the side of the parent.

It is the most amazing show, the voices may be different but it is still peppa pig. It is a piece of art, no matter what some people may say, it has a nice animation, and peppa looks good. I recomend it to every person that may be reading this, dont listen to others opinions and give it a try, you wont regret it not even one bit, as it is the MOST amazing show you will encpunter in your life. Kids will love it, it has pretty animation, nice voices, friendly characters, and a solid story that will warm your heart. There are no words that can describe my love for this show, the most amazing puece of art.
Love the ole Peppa pig. The new Peppa pig tales is awful, especially daddy pig's voice. It sounds like a 5 year old. Most of the voices are much worse but daddy pig's is atrocious.
I've watched a lot now and it's worse every time. I really hoped it would get better but his voice has no life, character, hukor, sarcasm, intelligence. It's like daddy pig is now a lifeless blob with no personality or a brain. He's a boring monotonous blob that you hope will never speak Not sure if it's the same reason most of the other voices have no life or character to them anymore. Thankfully we can still watch the old good papa pig.

I say this as a huge fan of the original show; Peppa Pig Tales is a letdown.
Remember when Peppa Pig was realistic? And I don't mean omnipresent rabbit ladies who do every job in your town-I mean when the show actually felt relatable, when it felt like you were actually seeing other "real" kids learning about the world and playing.
Peppa Pig Tales.. failed at that. And everything else.
Let's get started on the characters-ALL of them have been messed up in terms of writing. Not only do the characters behave completely the opposite, but they feel and are flatter than usual. Infact the only character that i noticed hasn't changed is Emily Elephant, but she didnt have much expanded character to begin with so it's really not a big achievement.
The voice actors. Now I get they couldn't get the real ones, because of pricing and timing, but oh dear these voices do not fit the characters well.
And speaking of timing, this is literally just Cocomelon-ified Peppa Pig. They lowered the budget and shortened the episodes to THREE minutes. No wonder the episodes feel rushed, the plotlines empty, the characters flat.
And animation... has anyone else noticed how the character models are much different? Especially in expressions, but also for example how Suzy's mouth is misplaced? They also got rid of Peppa's iconic angry squinting eyes. Devastating. Also the animation itself is really weird and the characters can't stand still for 2 seconds they have to be constantly posing and making constant facial expressions like :o
And for the reason it has potential; many of the episode ideas are actually great. Compared to even the main show. See, the main show's new seasons are quite dull, the ideas just aren't quite there, but Peppa Pig Tales really had them. It makes it all the more unfortunate how poorly Tales is executed, because many episodes have so much potential to be really good, to even fit in the main show.
And back to characters, they're all just messed up.
Suzy was for some reason changed from a sassy bossy girl to a really shy and introverted kid, Pedro now goes "oh silly me i ruined everything :((" whenever he makes a mistake as contrary to the "Oh. Okay!" Type of Pedro from the original show. Madame gazelle is afraid of heights despite being originally a vampire who lives in a 80 foot tall house? Also Peppa's parents are ABSOLUTELY BORING, they are now just characters that explain some stuff like "remember kids, a restaurant is a place where they serve food!" While peppa just plays around or whatever. George is like okay he didnt do much in the og show anyway. Peppa is a similar case to Suzy? Kinda? It feels like they switched Peppa with the og show's Pedro. Peppa is this nice clumsy girl now. I know many criticise the show for this, but I really mean it when i say that if neither Peppa or Suzy are sassy and bossy, they just lose all character and become not interesting or fun to watch.
Peppa Pig Tales could've been nice, but that isn't the case.
I want to add that both people in the Peppa fandom and outside it agree it just sucks overall, so it's not just me nitpicking.
