"The Good Stuff" with Mary Berg is, without a doubt, the worst show I have ever seen on CTV... and that is saying a lot. Mary may know how to cook but she is NOT qualified to do a one hour show like this one. She is not mature enough nor does she have the qualifications to host a successful talk show. She has a very limited background in television (other than cooking) and, sadly for CTV, does it ever show. The words "awesome, amazing, perfect, and oh my gosh" seem to be the extent of her entire vocabulary. She comes across as phoney and silly in a viewing market that expects good content and professionalism. To be honest, this show and Mary Berg as a replacement for Marilyn Denis, the ultimate professional, is nothing but an insult to the viewers.
It has reached the point where I cannot even stand to see the never-ending ads on CTV for The Good Stuff so, in desperation, I now avoid CTV altogether. Sadly, the ads have also invaded other cable channels but not on the ridiculous level that CTV is broadcasting them. I am also very tired of seeing The Big Bang Theory (sometimes broadcast 15- 20 times/day) and Seinfeld on this network. All of the good programming is now on Global in Canada and, of course, most of the U. S. Networks. If you do not cancel this program, i honestly think the future of CTV will become even bleaker than it already is.

When I heard Marilyn Denis timeslot was being replaced by Mary Berg, I was happy for her. Huge shoes to fill as Marilyn had decades -34 years - on TV and was not the National Treasure she grew into from the beginning.
I like Mary. She is refreshing and honest.
However I'm so put off by her over-the- top exuberance and childish squealing. As she is introduced, I change the channel or tune in AFTER she has settled down.
Her use of 'situations' and 'deliciousness' along with 'amazing' and 'perfect' are too frequent.
Basically, Mary needs to be coached. She needs to lower her voice, slow down, listen to her guests - without interruption, and most importantly, calm down by half.

I am trying once again to watch Marg Berg but it is truly painful. She is constantly saying mmmm...mmmm...mmmm... after each comment a guest makes. I'm not sure why she would constantly be saying this into the microphone. It is really difficult to watch this show. How has no one told her she doesn't need to say that after each comment. It is the most annoying thing on the show amongst others things. Is her mother and husband a part of this show. It is very strange and I really miss Marilyn Dennis, so much more professional. Is this the best you can do on this show. Can we not see real chefs and not see their mother and spouse on every episode.
On today's show, Sept 20, 2023, with her male cooking guest Mary used the word AMAZING 21 times in that segment and the word PERFECT almost as many. It was extremely annoying.
Could someone please provide Mary with a Thesaurus?
Note to her Design Team: Please trim those bangs and get those side wisps off her face while she's cooking.
It's just not sanitary, especially when she pushes them away.
I agree with the comment that Mary should lose the so-called interviews. An interviewer she is not. A cook she is.
Leave Mom at home watching your show; there's no synchronicity between you on the set. Boring.
I doubt that this audience is there for the science segments, signaled by lack of applause. Boring.

Mary's recipes are good and easy to follow. Cooking is her passion and she's fantastic at it.
I like the cooking segments very much.
Talking with guests....not so much. Overzealous, over dramatic and overuse of the words "amazing" and "perfect" are so annoying that I want to change the channel. Some coaching on the use of a thesaurus to find synonyms for "amazing" and "perfect" might help. She really needs to listen to her guests and give them a chance to show their stuff.
Her cheerful and bubbly personality make her likeable, but not for a 60 minute show. We need to see some calmness and sincerity to make this show real.
