From going to japan and meeting ray, to flying him out and making a short film with him with only 3 days to shoot. Kai and everyone did a good job in my opinion for there first time. As a fan of rush hour, kai and ray achieved to give me that same feeling and vibe of it. With kai's loud, hyper, funny humor and personality, ties in well to the film and lowkey mirrors Chris tuckers performance in rush hour. With rays broken English and Asian heritage, reflects well with Jackie Chans performance as well. Sure the script is a little forced and falls short in some ways, i was laughing through out the whole video. Kai said he wanted to take acting serious, i think this is a great first step in that direction. Well done to everyone who worked on the film.
I'm no Ebert, but I've got a decent grasp of what makes a film work, and I have to say, Global Pursuit makes me want to pursue other activities.
The film tries to emulate the iconic 'Rush Hour' series but ends up delivering less chemistry than a high school dropout in a science lab. Kai Cenat, popular as an internet personality, takes on a role as one of the buddy cops. While he shines online, his acting chops don't quite cut it here. It's like putting ketchup on a chocolate cake - you know both elements are good on their own, but something's just not mixing.
The plot tries to take you on a wild ride but feels more like a slow crawl in peak hour traffic. Instead of making me grip my seat in anticipation, it had me gripping my head in confusion. You know your sting operation's got issues when the audience starts rooting for the bad guys just so the movie can end sooner.
And let's talk about the jokes in this film. You know how they say a joke is like a frog, and if you dissect it, it dies? Well, the jokes in Global Pursuit were already DOA, so I guess the script dissected itself.
To wrap this up, Global Pursuit felt like a half-hour chase scene where everyone was running in circles. While I love a good buddy cop film, this one just didn't arrest my attention.

In a valiant attempt to condense a thrilling adventure, "Global Pursuit" unfortunately loses its footing due to hurried storytelling and a questionable sound design approach.
From the very first frame, "Global Pursuit" aspires to captivate with its high-speed narrative. However, the breakneck tempo at which the story unfolds hampers the audience's connection with characters and understanding of their motives. Subplots surface fleetingly, lacking the depth required for a coherent and satisfying storyline.
The film's pacing predicament is exacerbated by its fragmented sound design. While sound is pivotal for immersion, here it morphs into a distracting hurdle. Essential dialogues are often muffled by an inundation of sound effects, leaving vital conversations inaudible. This auditory imbalance significantly impairs the viewer's engagement with the unfolding sequences.
The creators of "Global Pursuit" unmistakably possessed a vision, yet its realization falls disappointingly short. The brief runtime limits the potential for a fully-fledged and immersive narrative. Though glimpses of excitement emerge, they are overshadowed by the pervasive sensation of being briskly shuttled through the story.
In summation, "Global Pursuit" accentuates the significance of allowing a story to breathe, even within a constrained timeframe. With more measured pacing and refined sound design, this film could have delivered a more gratifying experience. Presently, it's a missed chance that leaves both dedicated fans and casual viewers yearning for a more polished and immersive escapade in future cinematic endeavors.

Global Pursuit is not meant to be the perfect movie. It doesn't aim for a 10/10 rating. It's just a fun movie that hopes to get a laugh out of you. The acting is alright. It's not terrible but it's not perfect. The best actor was literally Kai Cenat in my opinion. He played his role very well and you can see that he truly aimed to act like how Chris Tucker did in Rush Hour and it shows. Ray did pretty well for his first time acting, and was better than most of the actors. Everyone else was alright and not amazing. The action scenes were probably the worst part of the movie. But it was still interesting to watch. (The cameo was also hilarious) Overall, Global Pursuit is a great spin-off of the original "Rush Hour". I am truly proud of what Kai, Ray, and the production team managed to pull off in this short amount of time. Bravo.
It was pretty short so most of the action/funny scenes were pretty compacted into a 17 minute movie. Had some funny moments, but action scenes could've been better edited/actioned. I liked it was short so I could watch it in a short time, and had a good idea of a movie. I think it was good for having to be shot in 3 days, and had a lot of different scenes, but could've contained more extra scenes and maybe a bit longer. The acting was good, for being a streamer and his friend. I would definitely watch this movie. I feel like there could've been a bit more planning into the different scenes though.
