As a Gen Z who never watched the original Keluang Man series, I went into the movie with zero expectations-and came out absolutely blown away.
This movie is hilarious AF. Like seriously, I haven't laughed this much in a local film in a long time. The comedy was on point, the timing was brilliant, and the way the characters were written? ICONIC. The jokes landed hard, and the cast really delivered. It didn't feel forced or cringey-it was genuinely funny, in a very Malaysian way that totally works for this generation too.
I honestly feel so proud watching it. You don't need nostalgia to enjoy this. Even without knowing the OG storyline, the movie stands strong on its own. It's entertaining, well-paced, and full of charm.
And let's be real-most of the people who are out here criticizing the movie? Yeah, they probably haven't even watched it. It's easy to hate from the sidelines, but once you actually watch it, you'll get why people are loving it.
So from a Gen Z who's new to the Keluang Man legacy: this movie is an absolute banger. Go watch it and laugh your heart out.

Some people out there really expect the Keluang Man live action to be exactly the same as the original cartoon same tone, same style, same everything. Like bro... it's a live action, not a frame-by-frame remake. You can't just copy-paste cartoon logic into real life and expect it to work.
The original was meant to be fun, a bit wacky, and exaggerated. That works for animation. But once you bring it into live action, you've got to adjust the tone - make it more grounded, more cinematic. If not, it'll just look cringe or cheap. So expecting it to feel exactly like the cartoon? Not realistic lah.
I get that people have nostalgia, but the director isn't making this just for old fans. He's trying to reintroduce Keluang Man to a new generation with a style that actually fits modern storytelling. So instead of whining that "it's not like the original," maybe try appreciating the new direction first.
Also the CGI. Yeah, I won't lie, some parts definitely need work. Certain scenes looked rough and not fully polished. If they want that serious, realistic vibe, the visual effects need to match. Right now, it's halfway there, but still feels like early draft level in some spots.
But even with that, I give credit to Anwari. He dared to do something new with a local hero, and that's not easy. Just hope for the next one, they really level up the effects and keep pushing that bold.

In my opinion, the movie is worth 7.5, but I have given it a bonus of 0.5 more due to the nostalgic references.
I watched this movie in a cinema alone, but I genuinely believe it is worth watching with your children or family members.
The story is simple yet possesses good ideas, and the implementation is commendable. However, the third act could have been better and more impactful. The relationship between the characters and the audience could have been strengthened with a more satisfying ending. I hope that in the sequel, they can eliminate some of the excessive elements while adding a touch of greater seriousness.
Given that Keluang Man is a mental patient, the overall tone of the movie should not be taken too seriously, unlike DC or MCU films. Nevertheless, it could be improved.
The visual and audio aspects are undoubtedly exceptional and stand out. The fighting scenes could be enhanced by employing more angles and choreography in future installments. It is advisable to avoid excessive CGI to enhance the viewing experience.
The actors are all exceptional and perform exceptionally well. While the jokes may be clichéd for critical thinking viewers, they are, in fact, quite humorous and realistic.
Overall, this movie offers an enjoyable and entertaining journey. I highly recommend it.

The overall cast delivered convincing performances. The character Borhan, played by Nas-T, came across as somewhat average and less striking compared to the others, although his acting still played a vital role in the story. The focus on the five main characters was well-executed, with each given a clear and meaningful role in the narrative.
The plot, while somewhat predictable in parts, managed to retain its appeal. The storyline was structured and cohesive, allowing the audience to remain engaged despite anticipating some of the twists. Still, there were a few plot holes and some editing choices that felt a bit off.
The action sequences, however, felt slightly excessive, with three distinct battle phases that bordered on repetitive. The second battle, in particular, began to feel tiring, but~ though the final act slowed its pacing just enough to allow viewers to re-engage and enjoy the conclusion.
From a technical standpoint, the CGI was not particularly polished, but it wasn't overly distracting, as it appeared in less significant scenes. The product placement-particularly of the Wanda brand-felt somewhat excessive, appearing in three scenes and slightly pulling focus away from the story.
As a popcorn movie, especially for fans of local action films or those familiar with the "Lelaki Kluang," this is definitely one to watch. It deserves an 8/10 for being entertaining, satisfying, and even amusing at times. However, from a more critical cinematic perspective, the film scores closer to a 6/10, as its visual storytelling lacks the depth and refinement needed to truly stand out-especially for new audiences.
Still, it's a film worth watching and stands out among many current local productions.

I'm not afraid to say I love this movie, the only thing lackluster was it's action, which honestly with the comedy and pure gold it was, it wasn't that noticable.
The acting was obvious and tailored for the theme of the movie, who cares if it's flat or unemotional, the movie clearly intends to be a comedy.
The comedy is what got we, I'm smiling like a fool throughout the whole thing, I'm not going to spoil much, but it's a delight to watch this, truly the best movie I've watched thus far this year, and the Easter eggs from high counsil was very nice.
Honestly looking forward to whatever pasal productions had in the future, both their high council series and kahar movie are my favourite media from malaysian studios, I absolutely love this movie as well.
