I loved the story line, the characters and the scenes on different parts of the world. There are some times when they will do or say something that just quite doesn't feel real to the scene. However, I loved the story line so much that I was willing to let them go. If you are a sci-fi distopian type person then I think you might find this entertaining. You may not love it as much as I did, but you will definitely enjoy the story. For the people who are giving it a bad review, I'm sorry that you feel that way. Maybe you can watch it again while keeping a bigger picture attitude and hopefully you are able to see what you missed the first time.
The first season was que nice to watch, with a nice pace on the story of those "loose"characters in an impossible situation.
The last episode cliffhanger was ok but it begged for closure on season 2.
But season 2 was just nonsense after nonsense, a classic "milk the cow" story arch that ended with very few creative space for a session 3 - when I say creative space is good writing and not soap opera innuendo.
This story should have been told in 2 seasons and ended in a blaze of glory instead the meaningless slow dead it will probably have.
Glad I watched season 1 but I should had left there with the season one cliffhanger, I would be more pleased.

Invasion: Season 2 on AppleTV+ continues for each of the same characters as the first season. While I half way enjoyed the first season, this season was all over the place. I surely don't know what to write and none of the storylines ever explain the premise of the alien invasion. It was a mix bag of other movies from Contact to Stranger Things. Somehow human children have some sort of psychic connection with the aliens. The five characters are split across the globe but yet connected. As each episode comes to an end something interesting or over the top takes place. The ending leads to another season is in the works and hopefully we will know why the invasion took place.
Such a glossy 'bait and switch'.
Tell me, were the writers of the original episodes fired mid-season, because it appeared to collapse into a terrible dolly-mixture of annoying, slow, pathetic characters.
And that Madam President has to be one of the most annoying, impatient, beyond stupid characters ever written, she was by far the worst of them!!
This had the look of a series that was going places, a good, underplayed, but interesting plot that was warming up nicely until it collapsed under its own arrogance of whoever was in charge, it simply got worse and worse.
Hang your head in shame Apple TV, this was such a missed opportunity terribly missed.

There are SciFi series twenty years old that deliver more story in one episode than this insipid dribble did in twenty episodes.
Yes, since series 1 people said give it time, it's a slow burn and two series later it still is. Worse, it's not even a slow burn, it's something they seem to have made up as they went along and it shows, it really, really shows.
The end of this second series is an insult to those who stuck with it, another cliffhanger, just not one that holds you in any way on tenterhooks as a cliffhanger normally would. Why? Well, because any goodwill and interest has been smothered from the saner audience members who gave it more than a chance, only to find that the disparate wanderings of our soldier, kids, and resistance fighter family were pointless filler and their existence was merely to drag this out over a very padded 20 episodes. Pointless because this bait and switch SciFi baited us with glossy artwork and misleading trailers only to switch to a paranormal story in a large part where everything happens psychically, even teleportation.
AppleTV has really made something that's "made for TV" only it is B channel standard and dire, annoying and worst of all, a pointless waste of time. I will forever warn every Human, Parrot, Dog and Cat or any being who might sit in front of a TV to avoid this audience bait insult to the intelligence of a doorknob.
