I have to edit my original review which I made after watching 4 episodes - the early episodes indicated a good plot where you see first passionate touching love happening with 2 young persons but they are torn apart because of unfortunate circumstances which swung out of control because of immature handling and a secret they are keeping from each other. I didn't understand why it should be a secret and if the truth were told, both won't have misunderstanding and they would not break up but well, then we wont have the series either. Because they have to break up, we see another story developing within the family with possibility of the female lead developing a deeper romance with another party. In the midst of all these, there's murder, illegal activities, business and blood rivalry to spice up matters. However, the series went downhill after the first few episodes with repetitive events and hints of not being able to move forward. It sort of got stuck in a boring limbo especially with Yaman and Fereya. I was fast losing interest and patience over the relationship of those 2 and wanted the character of Ates to develop in the story faster. When the story kept dragging itself, I lost my patience and this became one of those very few instances I had to edit my review. I still give it a rating of 5 instead of a poorer rating just because of the first few entertaining episodes. Needless to say, at this point I'm not watching the series anymore.
It's such a pity that Ates ends up the loser. How did the writers not think of portraying such a wonderful character as the main protagonist? Ilhan sen has portrayed the character 100% and it's a pity he ends up losing his love interests always. He loves Feraye. She asked him to marry her and not a whiff of that anywhere after. She has cheated on him being in marriage with him. What a poor way to show case a woman! Is she so spineless running after Yaman always. It would have been good if Feraye fell in love with Ates' and brought about a change in the family.
Yaman character is very weak. Doesn't he know his brother?
Very sad the writers and director killed the drama which started on a high note.
It should have been Ates' and feraye leading instead of Yaman in the lead.
Very very disappointed.

According to me the oritagu should be ates and antago yaman because yaman was so full of ego and selfishness and this feraye was so selfish girl she never appreciated ates efforts when be literally treated this selfish girl as a child he care for this girl and what did he get there was not even a single scene of him in last episode like they did not even show us what he was doing in his life his love life with gunes this is total injustice throughout the show only ates suffered he lost his all relations his mother siblings father everything this is clear injustice writer should focus on ates in.
Rating from 10 to 1 star. Making Ates the bad guy sucks. Done with this series.
Another edit: If the writers are going to make Ates the bad guy, I'm not watching any further. He is the one with the pure heart and what is being done to him by the spoiled brat named Yaman (so irritating the way Feraye, who needs to get her mind checked, says Yamaaaan...ugh), makes Yaman the bad guy in my books. I hope he loses the business to Ates. The writers made a good job of making Yaman the villain. It's now impossible to have pity on him & Feraye.
Edit: To the writers, please let Feraye fall in love with Ates and forget Yaman. A person that can torment someone he supposedly loves is not a man of character. What Yaman feels is not love but obsession...it can't be both. I dislike him now so much, I can't even feel sorry for him. Let Feraye forget Yaman. I really don't want them to end up together.
I just love this series.
The FL (Feraya) is trapped between two brothers. And strangely I can't choose who I want her to be with. There is this one brother (Yaman) with whom she shares a lot of passion, but he breaks her heart when he falls into a trap protecting his brother. The catalyst in throwing everyone's lives into a hell, is the FL's step-mother who threatens Yaman, after she overhears what has happened, to marry her daughter who has been in love with Yaman since childhood. (Feraya is unaware of the trap and thinks Yaman has fallen in love with her step-sister.) She also gets an innocent house worker killed. Yet she has no remorse. She is the real villain in this story.
The story is well written and directed. Excellent actors. Casting done brilliantly.
I can't wait for the next episode and kinda wish I could binge watch all the episodes at once.

This was an ode to abusive, toxic relationships. It promoted threats & harassment being ok if it came from your 1st love. In the end, it sent a horrible message to young girls & not even flashbacks couldn't cover up.
I would just like to remind you that in the series, the love that the actress praises so much is a toxic relationship in which he: -she harasses and harasses (even when she is pregnant) -he comes on to her at work and attacks her friends -he took nude photos of her without her consent.
It is an insult to all the women who die every day and fight to get out of that toxic cycle. But since the ship's actors support that and see it as love, as does the director, this was going to happen.
