This is such a powerful film and timely message to Churches around the world that are struggling to retain membership, yet maintain evangelism outside their doors. The story evokes everything from laughter to tears, and features a stellar cast who were perfectly cast for their roles. The editing and storyline propel the audience forward and keep them engaged throughout. Lance Brown was superb in the leading role and we hope to see much more of this talented actor. In fact, several of the leading cast members deserve recognition for their incredible portrayals. This is among my favorite Christian films, and will be added to my personal library to watch again as a reminder that God is guiding us in ways we can't imagine, if we only listen for his inspiration.
One by One. That's all God calls us to do is minister to people, reach out when they miss church like ministers used to. Get to know your congregation, don't be afraid to think outside the box. The fact that this is a true story of a man who started out a coroner, policeman, (I won't give the rest away but... WOW!) And became a shepherd that tended to his flocks so creative and thoughtfully. Beautiful story. Thank you for living it, thank you for writing it, producing it and bringing it to the BIG screen! The sets were awesome too! So very blessed I got to watch this with my teenage daughter. She loved it as well.
What a wonderful story on how God can use an ordinary man in his kingdom. It hooks you right from the beginning with a wonderfully written plot, beautiful, accompanying music, and actors who you really believe are the characters they portray. You will laugh, you will cry, but you will walk away from the movie thinking about what you just saw and how you can use it in your Christian life. The movie is family friendly, and would be a great asset to every church movie night offering. Salty Earth Pictures again hits a homer in their casting, writing and all around production. Watch this movie, you will not be disappointed.
The music started off cheesy at the beginning but was very good near the end. However, some of the actors just starting their career were awesome. I got to listen to the interview of the actors and they enjoyed talking with the real people portrayed in the story. So proud of the Wisconsin Synod for being presented in a very professional movie. Salty earth has a bright future ahead and hopefully a network like Daystar can pick up their movies, this would open a large amount of resources and help the studio create even better films. Who would of that that a small studio out of Wisconsin could create such a masterpiece.
We loved it. What a great job of taking the story of an ordinary man, showing his struggles and doubts and even his passion for danger and excitement. To make that into such a great movie with great actors showed to me how important our daily, ordinary lives are. We are at times deceived into believing we have to do big and great things to be effective for the Kingdom. This story showed me it's literally "one by one"!
I might add... I'm 66 yrs old and happily married, but I may be in love with Lance! 😊 What an amazing young man whose sincerity is contagious. The whole movie oozed sincerity. I especially liked the part where he traveled to see the Captain on his death bed and led him to the Lord.
