I really wanted to like this sci-fi short film, but I'm not sure I actually did. It started off strong, and I genuinely enjoyed it-perhaps it was shaping up to be a solid horror story? But then came a massive plot twist and a sudden shift in genre. I would've preferred if it had stuck with the original direction, though the new one was okay too. At one point, the influence of the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth was clear, and I thought the film might return to its earlier tone. That back-and-forth feeling is probably what best defines the film. But instead of returning to form, it shifted again and ultimately became messy, failing to clearly explain what was going on. In the end, I was slightly disappointed, as it didn't deliver the satisfying conclusion I was hoping for.
