From reading the title of this film (In Tenebras: Into the Darkness), one would tend the think that the movie would be a serious drama. Factor in the historical setting of World War II, Germany (i.e. Nazi atrocities), and suggestions of carrying out a "sinister agenda" at whatever price. Those themes would lead one to believe that this would be a significant, serious, and important historical film. It was none of those things.
In fact, after watching this movie, I can say with all honesty: What a God awful movie.
I can't believe there was a production company anywhere on the planet that would want be within two feet of this monstrosity. This movie is a carbuncle on the landscape of cinema.
The actors are ninth grade class play caliber, at best. The screenplay was laughably unintelligent.
I DO NOT recommend this movie to ANYONE.
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

The opening scene of Tenebras starts with a slow drone descent onto a hostage situation in the Bay of Gibraltar. The action succeeding that is beautifully shot !
The tunnel section of the film is far too lengthy but the historical premise is an excellent one Josh Wickham is good as is Michael Pare but the rest of the acting is wooden unfortunately
Great effort on the part of the director to achieve this level of production
I look forward to the sequel.

It's difficult to describe this amazingly incoherent mess of a movie without dumbing it down to "it's so bad that it's good". Nothing makes sense, the acting is non-existent, and there there are multiple plot lines/threads that seem entirely disconnected from each other. The three "siblings" all look absolutely nothing alike, each have different, unplaceable accents, and at one point when one of the siblings seems to suddenly disappear/get hurt, the other two give this incident about 10 seconds of thought before carrying on as if they'd never been a part of the movie. It's a must watch movie simply because you are guaranteed to laugh for all the wrong (right?) reasons throughout this dumpster fire. Every other review here was clearly written by a cast member or friend/relative of someone involved, minus the 1 star review which is accurate in terms of movie quality, but misleading in terms of pure entertainment value given it's by far the worst movie I've ever sat through but I just couldn't stop watching and couldn't stop laughing. My friend badgered me constantly to watch this movie... and boy am I glad that I finally succumbed. We are both eagerly awaiting the supposed sequel (?) that was announced. Oh - and I failed to mention that a good portion of the movie seems to be an ill-advised attempt as an advertisement for "Come See Beautiful Gibraltar", and I suspect that some not insignificant portion of the movie was perhaps subsidized by Gibraltar? Otherwise I can't fathom how this was ever made/green-lighted. Maybe Martin Nuza simply has a passion for burning piles of cash? Either way, it's a must-see, and even more importantly a must-share!
