You know the story, you know the outcome, but this is is still essential watching. I lived through it as a United fan, going to most of the games during the season (now 58 years old, been going since 1972). The director has done a superb job, and it's wonderful to hear fresh insights from the players themselves who were responsible for the greatest season in United's history. Obviously essential viewing for any United fan, but most unbiased football fans will enjoy this. So many incredible moments, but obviously the F. A. Cup matches against Liverpool and Arsenal stand out, and of course 26-5-99 in Camp Nou. A testament to hard work, determination, and what a never-say-die attitude can do. Just fabulous.

United fans will love this program. A great synopsis of their finest ever achievement as a club. Interesting insights from nearly all the main players involved (notably Roy Keane didn't participate which is a shame). Amazing to see even some of the players surprised by new revelations. Those of us who remember 1999 will love reliving it and will love the additional insight given by players and staff involved. Those United fans too young to remember will maybe learn just why this was such a unique group and why they are still worshipped to this day.
It's harder for me to say whether neutral fans will enjoy this. Obviously fans of rival teams won't and will say it's self-indulgent nonsense. However I do believe genuinely neutral fans of football (if there is such a thing!) will enjoy the new insights and details which generally would be kept "behind closed doors" at and soon after the time it all happened.
For me, thoroughly enjoyable, just the right length and a great piece of football documentary TV.

Everything about this club put together. Unbelievably good. The passion and the struggle brought them together as one and made them who they were then. Mostly because they are being treated to be mentally tough and challenged every day. The Boss it's the real deal there after he gets his revenge on the end against the other football clubs and made a history today which can't be forgotten. Beckham is the greatest player at that time whit his reflection of the toughest times back then. The first episode of 99 begins with Manchester United in a state of flux, still bruised from losing out to Arsenal for the Premier League title in 1998. But when the players returned to start training for the 1998-99 season, Beckham's name was at the centre of a tabloid maelstrom.
Watching this reminds me why I support Manchester United. It was the belief, the never give up mentality instilled in the players by the greatest of all time manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
If only the current player had half of that mentality, they might win trophies. It's not about money, greatness but the fans. The director has done an amazing job putting this documentary together.
I wish we find a manager like Sir Alex who can take the club back to where it belongs. I really hope the club is taken over by someone who knows football instead of the money sucking American owners who have taken the life out of this great club.
Man United till I die!!!

I was too young to even recall the incredible achievement of the United treble. But as a life long United fan, this documentary gave me chills. This was the greatest achievement in English football and the creators of this doc truly showcase the ups and downs of that roller coaster season.
The documentary gives a lot of insight into how the players and coaches were feeling throughout the season. Its amazing for those who were too young or can't remember as well how amazing the journey was.
I would not say this doc is only for United fans, its for football fans as well (apart from Uniteds rivals). Thank you to the producers for giving us United fans this doc. We needed this after such a pathetic season recently.
Legends are forever and the greats of 99 will never be forgotten.
