What Makes This Show Great

You learn every character's motivations, mindset, and relatability in each scene, either directly or through the use of music and cinematography, with many especially creative, purposeful scenes to emphasize all the character building. Each character starts being built upon a very deliberate character arc, with very deliberate character flaws, which leads to them being well-developed characters. Everyone becomes distinctly deplorable AND innocent, and it's that dichotomy that makes this show so damn great.

Trivia
Season 4 starts with Fiona (Emmy Rossum) telling Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) not to get used to sleeping on the top bunk since Ian (Cameron Monaghan) is coming back, but Ian always slept on the regular bed. Lip (Jeremy Allen White) slept on the top bunk until he got his own room in Season 3.

Goofs
When Lip is walking around all the "frozen" students (44:50), there is a student in the middle of throwing a frisbee; the wire suspending it is visible. There are multiple other students moving slightly. However, this is actually a flash mob; they're "freezing" on purpose. When they unfreeze, the frisbee guy walks towards his friend with the frisbee bouncing on the fairly visible wire.
