Average - nothing special

I was looking forward to this, I really like movies from the beginning of modern society. But this one was rushed and superficial. The story could be interesting, I mean a new group of humans arrive to a place where an old society has developed their own ways. The new people has learned to crop, and that is to new a development for the old ones. So far its good. But they rush it way to much. Suddently they are somewhat accepted by living after the old ways, and suddently the woman gives birth. We dont have the feeling og following along to these happenings, it all become superficial and rushed.

Excellent balance between realism and story

Just watched this film at the Gothenburg film festival and it was a pleasant surprise. I expected it to come off as unbelievable and over the top, but I was happily surprised that the opposite was true. Excellent acting all around, especially regarding the languages spoken in the film. The filmmakers have managed to create a, at least to me, believable sounding language with logical structures of grammar. The actors really make the language they speak sound like the most natural thing ever, as if they have actually spoken the language their entire lives.

Just a superb depiction of what life might have been like during this tumultuous time in history.
