Riding the coattails of the old librarians show this is obviously an entirely new show based on the premise of magic existing and a new team trying to stop it from running amok.
Story wise there's already a few interesting ideas and cool concepts explored. It's a new magic thing happening each episodes that our heroes need to stop. Cursed trains stuck in a time loop and evil witches etc.
New cast needs some time to grow but the chemistry is already there, the actors are all fine, especially Jessica Green who is my favorite.
Obviously not the highest of budget shows but the effects look decent, for instance the monster in ep. 1 is a decent costume.
The effects aren't too scary or anything even though people do get injured and even killed sometimes.
Giving it 10 stars because I really enjoy magical shows that aren't gloomy or too serious, just some fun and excitement.

I really liked the original but this is a poor imitation. In the original the "Librarian" was not around for most of the series and the "team" had to solve problems with each member bringing their unique talents to the effort. Each of them was also part of the library.
In this version we have a Librarian from another time (why?) and his team is made up of more or less ordinary people (none of whom were invited) who would be best classified as just sidekicks. It seems like any one of them, except perhaps Charlie, could be replaced with no impact to the show. Even Charlie, who is supposed to be the protector, is not really doing much. Eve from the original series was kicking ass early on.
I assume that as the show continues we will see more character development and the cast acting more like a team, but for now I have seen enough.

I personally loved the New Librarians. After being a fan of all of the movies and series. This one is new and new people, new adventures, lore and fantasy. I dint care about generic CGI. It's a series and need to make a passable show is a must. Plus 1st episode is introductory at best. For everyone.i loved it, thought it was great and will be watching it hopefully for years to come. I was excited to see Stone back and leader position . I'm sure all characters will continue to develop and bond and writers will also figure out the dynamics. I'm sure a lot are new . Like I said for a new show ...it was great.
Bad CGI, rubber monster costume, mid action and writing and a cast that does it's best with what is given to them. Add some nice locations, mediocre sets and you have a great show. Truely I love it. In a day and age that he world seems to go to hell with dictators and wars this show makes me smile.
The show is non pretentious, wants to entertain and doesn't care how silly it is. Can there be improved, sure, gravel voice guy should drop the mumbling an the hysterical evil laugh only works in an Austin Powers movie. Cutting action scenes should be coordinated by the stunt coordinator and not whoever cut this show.

A great first episode on the next chapter, awesome casting, scenery and true lineage back to the original, Bob Newhart would be proud. Callum McGowan is great as the new lead, Jessica Green is a good choice for guardian, but can use a softer feel that made Rebecca Romijn approachable. Olivia Morris and Bluey Robinson are great as the new LITs. I hope to see John Kim in a subsequent episode, he is my favorite character. The scenery is spectacular and real. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the special effects can be better. I can't wait to see the other episodes Librarians rule!
