    Gripping and thought-provoking journey

Kafas, the latest web series starring the immensely talented Sharman Joshi, is a gripping and thought-provoking journey that captivates the audience from start to finish. With its intriguing storyline, well-crafted characters, and stellar performances, the series leaves a lasting impact that lingers long after the credits roll.

Set in a dystopian future where individual freedom is suppressed, Kafas delves into the complexities of a society under the firm grip of an oppressive regime. Sharman's portrayal of the central character, a rebel fighting against the system, is a revelation. His ability to effortlessly switch between vulnerability and resilience adds depth and authenticity to the character, making him instantly relatable and endearing.

The writing of Kafas is a standout aspect of the series. The narrative is masterfully woven, gradually revealing the layers of the dystopian world while maintaining a sense of mystery and suspense. The plot unfolds with precision, building tension and raising thought-provoking questions about individual freedom, societal control, and the power of resistance. The dialogues are sharp and impactful, resonating with the audience on a deeper level.

The supporting cast of Kafas deserves equal praise for their exceptional performances. Each character is well-defined, and the actors bring them to life with conviction and nuance. Their chemistry and interactions contribute to the overall authenticity and emotional depth of the series.

Visually, Kafas is a treat for the eyes. The production design and cinematography beautifully capture the grim and oppressive atmosphere of the dystopian world. The meticulous attention to detail adds to the immersive experience, enhancing the overall impact of the story.

If there is one minor flaw, it is the pacing of certain episodes. While the majority of the series maintains a steady momentum, a few episodes could benefit from a tighter editing to maintain the narrative's momentum consistently.

Nevertheless, Kafas stands out as a remarkable web series that engages the audience intellectually and emotionally. It challenges societal norms and sparks important conversations about freedom, control, and the power of the individual. With Raju Rastogi delivering a career-defining performance and a well-crafted storyline, Kafas is a must-watch for fans of thought-provoking dramas.

    Rating: 8.5/10.

    Interesting but seems forced

Kafas is an adaptation of the British tv series Dark Money . Honestly speaking, Kafas had a really intriguing story in hand to show that money can't buy happiness. A family where the son gets sexually abused but the parents upon being offered a huge sum of money, decide to take it in return for keeping quiet on this crime . How it affects the family later is the story .

A good thing about Kafas is that it is not boring. Through several events , it keeps you hooked till the end . However, that doesn't stop you from ignoring the jarring flaws in this series.

Firstly, the transition from middle class to rich class is so abrupt that it almost hits your head like a stone . The transition is just not smooth but sudden . At the end of episode 2, the parents are offered money and right at the beginning of episode 3, boom, they are rich with a big house, big car , new school etc etc like I was in disbelief. Atleast a short sequence showing the transition would have done wonders than harm .

Second, I wanted to highlight the family dynamics. I noticed that just for the sake of making the series interesting, family members seem to initiate fight deliberately. It's ok for internal family fights but it should be presented naturally right!? It seems as if the makers forcefully induce the fights to make things look interesting.

Third, i felt the main criminal should have been presented much better rather than in the obvious cliched way. I felt his lady assistant did a better job in inducing hate, constantly hampering the family's efforts to give their son justice.

The climax again is a bit underwhelming. It would have been nice if the courtroom sequence was shown to us. The series just ends at an accusation point but never really gets to the point where it finally proved the criminal guilty. The point where they get into the court is the point where the series ends which shocked me. Are they planning to keep it for a S2? Lete see.

The best performance was given by Mikhail Gandhi , the boy around whom the series is centred around other than Vivan. Mikhails expressions are spot on. His anger, his helplessness, his tears all are shown by him beautifully. Sharman joshi and mona Singh give decent performances. Tejaswi Ahlawat is another powerhouse in the film acting as the ever supporting sister to Sunny (Mikhail). Vivan is just ok .

Overall, this series is a one time watch . There are many flaws that just can't be overlooked but still i felt it was an interesting watch.

    Good One - Kafas. itsbymayank

Sharman Joshi is the reason I watched this web series.

Story lacks a bit. They put Lots of drama in it because of that didn't seems thrilling but managed to get the grip somehow in story.

Story is about molestation of a teenager and how family deals with the whole scenario..

That's how story goes. I don't know it's a official remake or not but it's a Remake of Dark Money.

I can say Indian Version of Dark Money (BBC One)

Story goes well but too much drama loose its grip, it's okay. All Characters are good.

    You'll enjoy this limited series.

Extra drama part makes the webseries lengthy.

    Confusion and chaos

This series is unnecessarily stretched for 6 episodes. Could have been a 3-4 episode series. Dialogue delivery and story is poor. Mature teenage kids are shown like babies doing silly things. First and second episodes are good and create interest but rest of them are too stretched and vague. Sharman Joshi and Vivan acting was good. Last episode was rushed into and nothing could be derived from the story in the end. Consequences in terms of monetary, reputation etc due to legal suit was not shown for both parties. Disappointed as family relations were also not shown in a good way. With kids countering their parents on almost everything.

    Dark money

    Sameer lodaya

The series is based on the English series dark money

The content is new one of accepting money to overlook the crime faced but has been stretched for 6 long episodes series .. the pace of the series is too slow ..actually this could had been a movie..the climax was very cold and was rushed in last episode..

Sharman played a good soft and mature role where others like mona vivaan were just normal

Sorry for the low ratings but we expect a lot from applause as this studio has always given good entertainment

This weekend there are no major releases so one can watch for some timepass.
