Oblitus Casa is a perfect sequel to Treasure Island (2020). It nails everything it goes for and delivers more in the process.
The atmosphere in this game is phenomenal. Every night you feel the hopelessness that Jake feels, being stranded on an abandoned island in the dead of night. The cabin looks old and unused, the tunnels are dark and barren, and the Post-Mortem mini game makes you feel like you're in a nightmare.
The character designs are incredible and very unsettling. The black, ink-like substance that covers their bodies makes them look like they came out of a failed drawing or cartoon, twisted and horrific. MickMick probably has the best design, with parts of the costume looking like it's made of human skin, and the wide smile on MickMick's transformed variant makes you feel terrified.
The sound design is excellent as well. The music on the cameras is calm but haunting, the noises in the tunnels make you feel alone and underground, the voice lines of the characters sound distorted, and the jumpscares are over the top and terrifying. The graphics are also top tier, especially in the new 2.0 version.
Oblitus Casa is definitely the best horror fan game. Play it for yourself and experience the terrors of Discovery Island. The cabin is waiting for you...
