Video Brinquedo has a lousy reputation....a reputation they apparently worked hard to create. Over the years, they have essentially piggybacked off the success of popular CGI films by producing their own version with similar titles but with god-awful production values. While it might sound like I am exaggerating, Pixar was making better films back in the mid-1980s when they produced their first film, "André and Wally B."! In fact, I cannot recall EVER seeing computer animated films this bad ever. The character faces are expressionless, they move in a blocky and unnatural manner and, overall, they're just incredibly ugly. I would truly be ashamed to be associated with films like those of Video Brinquedo.
"What's Up" was billed as another "UP!"--with posters featuring a house being floated with a giant balloon. However, the story really isn't that similar. Instead, it's about a couple annoying scientists who have created a machine to make things float and they want to use it to float their lab to other planets. Along for the ride are two annoying kids. There also is a monster and some other stuff...but, frankly, by the time it came to them in the film I was bored beyond belief and ready to end my suffering.
Overall, a film that wouldn't even interest a toddler let alone anyone else. Cheaply made, dull and god-awful.

How are you gonna ripoff a movie and not even try to make it look like the one you ripped off
Mom can I have Up?
We have up at home
Up at home:
or
Up but you got from the 99 cents store.
This movie sucks. For a 2009 movie the vid quality is poop. The budget for this move is like I don't know 6 cents? Yeah, In summary the best part of the movie is when it ended.

-This had amazing voice acting.
-This is somewhat creative not including them going into the air in a house('borrowed' from the movie UP).
I mean, they are talking about a camera exploring the surface of Venus on here!
The real UP has no part where they feed aliens out of the floating house!
This is Sci-Fi themed... the real UP is more of a drama/heartwarming story type movie.
If they didn't have that part and something else, would've felt bad for it and it would've had 3 or 4 stars.

Not quite bad as Spider's web: A pig's tale but still on the same level as Ratatoing. It's not in English since there's only a British one for this, You can find the English one but it WILL be harder to find than the others, I knew this movie will suck like every time Video Brinquedo produces a new movie unlike Pixar and this is a VERY poor man's version of Pixar's UP. This makes a bad move look like if it's a masterpiece, If you are a person who has bad taste in movies and cartoons, Then this is for you! It needs to be a wake up call if people began to like this crappy rip off and not the original ones. Just look the animation, It's lazily done! Can someone tell me that Pixar is going to sue these evil bastards called "Video Brinquedo"!? I mention that again it doesn't have a profile here on TV.com and If it does get one, I will rate it a 1 like all their 44 minute films. The plot line, It's EVEN WORSE than you expected!
The lip sync is ABSOLUTELY off, Don't even watch even if you are curious.
