10 Rupees

We went and watched the movie 10 Rupees this weekend. It was an entertaining watch in the genre by Telugu movie standards and was intelligently written and well made movie. I actually went with no expectations expecting the worst and came out pleasantly surprised at the quality of plot, storyline and directing while the acting was OK. I would give it 8 on 10 and considering the vacuum of good Bollywood movies out these days, I would recommend it for a theater watch if possible, or else atleast you should never miss to give it a watch, for sure it will surprise you . The movie is about a 2 friends of who want to make a lot of money and instead of slogging it out in the corporate world, want to start their own business and make it big. That is an awesome idea, only problem being their obsession with get rich quick schemes that while working a lot of times, get them into trouble too .

Hollywood specializes in heist drama, especially these movies on confidence games, I've seen a few classics and series like Hustle & Sneaky Pete . Now Tollywood explores this genre and does very well with movies like Bluff Master, now 10 Rupees is a new entry into that list .

A convincing screen-play, good performances, detailed production design, delicious dialogs and most importantly not overdoing anything. The leads does not stop surprising you with their versatility as an actor. They restrains themself to the core .

Being a debut director he have all the required elements well placed . He will surely be one of the director to watch-out for in future. 10 Rupees is special in every positive sense.

I was very reluctant to watch this; but after hearing praises from a friend of mine; decided to give it a shot. Boy; wasn't disappointed at all.

What I liked most about the movie is it's theme . As my friend said, it has been like a whole banana; or should I say, they exploited the genre so well .

Now; Debutants of Telugu cinema has started surprising it's audience so well . This one too joins in that list of movies which were really well acted and depicted.

To my surprise; I really didn't care much about this movie while the trailers were being aired; and now, here I am writing a review about it.

A negative I could tell would be about production design, if they had a much a bigger budget this one would've been a banger in the genre, if asked to point out a negative this will be the only thing whis stands out . But still I'd give it a full; as I was so entertained with its meticulous screenplay . Maybe you should try it and form your own opinion about it. You might even love it.

I generally do not write review after watching this much review but I was practically forced to do it. Forced by the film "10 Rupees." this movie stand handsomely above all kind of expectations. It has been a while that this type of perfect movie was made in Telugu film industry. It was a treat for all my senses. Practically I do not remember when is the last time I watched this much flawless movie.

First the script is well written and more awesomely executed. It was a full proof script what will take your breath way. Throughout the movie I knew there was a plan B, there must be a plan B. But till the final act i had no Idea that how will they show that. It was simply mind blowing. The script is almost without any loose end. It contains a bit of comedy also. Too much comedy would have been ruin the movie for many viewers. Secondly the cast selection was very decent, the actors knew what they were doing , how they are doing. Actresses has no particular act throughout the movie like most of the Indian movies.

Finally ,one Sentence. "Watch the movie again ;)"
