Written and directed by Dr. Omar Reid, 2024's How to Make a Werewolf is a action horror feature that stars Jace A. Edwards, Melahnie Bagley and Miles Nelson.
The story focuses on a teenager Xen who is grieving from the sudden death of his sister. A chance encounter with Aana, a dark arts practitioner, offers him a shot at vengeance against those who did his sister wrong. Drawn into a world of magic, ritual and retribution, Xen must navigate the blurred lines between justice and revenge, deciding how far he'll go before an unspeakable evil consumes him entirely.
How to Make a Werewolf is a potent monster movie, one that soars above its own weight. The characters are rich, the story poignant and the central theme of revenge whilst slowly giving into the darkness is handled perfectly. The zany yet drippy cinematography sets the right atmosphere while the makeup hits it right out of the park. With those penetrating red eyes and those sharp fangs, the werewolves in this film will give the Underworld series a run for its money.
How to Make a Werewolf is a fantastic urban horror film that succeeds in giving you the creeps. The acting is great, the makeup ghoulish and the villains are to die for. Step into Atlanta's seedy underbelly with a film that not only does the werewolf lore justice but also goes a step further in showing how modern horror films should be made. We give the film five stars out of five.

"How to Make a Werewolf" is a fun and clever indie flick that brings a fresh take on the werewolf genre. Despite working with a low budget, Omar's creativity shines through, making it an entertaining watch. The blend of horror and dark humor hits just right, and while you can see the indie limitations in the production, that's part of its charm. It's got a raw, DIY feel that makes it stand out from more polished films. If you're a fan of werewolves or just looking for something a little different, this movie is definitely worth a look. It's a solid effort that shows what passion and ingenuity can achieve.
I am completely at a loss as to how on earth anyone has rated this more than two stars. It's so amateur It looks like it's been produced and acted by 7-year-olds in the back garden whilst mum and Dad make the tea..!!
How on earth, When you've got to move you like dog soldiers, American werewolf in London or the ginger snaps movies rating between 7 and 10, A diabolical movie like this gets more than two stars is just completely bewildered me.
You've got people running around with rubber fur Halloween werewolf gloves on.. and the plastic teeth you put in your mouth that you buy from the corner shop at Halloween... That's what this movie presents as being a 'werewolf' ...!!
I don't know about a B-movie... This should be an F- Minus movie.
I really, honest to God, wouldn't even waste your time waiting for this movie to start.. it's absolutely completely pathetic amateurish and just unbelievable.. get a group of 7-year-olds from your family and ask them to spend an hour making 'a movie'.. and you will have spent an hour of your life watching something more believable and professional than this film.
I am absolutely lost for words as to how people have rated this so highly... It's complete dross!

If you're expecting the 6.+ rating to be an indication of something wonderful to watch, better than say any A-list Hollywood flop with the 5.4 on imdb, then disappointment is about to fill you popcorn bucket. The inflated rating is a mystery. Probably nothing to do with false reviews. This is a prime example of 'I got a camera for Christmas' movie junk. The photography is atrocious. I lost count how many times the principal subject was out of focus, the actors barely in frame and the camera was only devoid of any dramatic impact but left us gazing at, nothing. Lighting? None evident. Acting skills? Little noteworthy. Story? Perhaps with a competent writer and a massive budget increase something could be salvaged. I wish the cast and crew all the best with future endeavours. For you the audience, don't waste your eyeball skin. It isn't even bad enough to be good bad.
