Azadi - A thrilling escape to freedom

Azadi is a gripping cinematic experience that keeps you hooked from start to finish. With a tight screenplay and seamless narration, the film manages to stay consistently engaging without a single dull moment or lag.

The making of the film stands out with its high production values and thoughtful direction, bringing both emotion and intensity to the forefront. The background score and songs are well-composed, enhancing the emotional depth and overall impact of each scene.

One of the strongest aspects of Azadi is its stellar cast. Every actor delivers a powerful performance, adding authenticity and energy to their roles. Their commitment shines through and pulls the audience deeper into the story.

The real surprise comes in the climax-a clever twist that elevates the film and leaves a lasting impression.

    Definitely worth a watch.

    Total waste of time

The director and producer should refund money of those few who have watched this nonsense in theater. And Whyonearth would any ott buy this to torture public further.

From starting to end it was absurd

Special mention to laal,Bhasi please select script wisely or stop acting

Vani Vishwanath should also stick to meaty roles which can justify her caliber like rifle club.

Slow worst and makes no sense movie

Dragging up a lot...Vani should have given a better role in another movie...doesn't make sense at all with the scenes. Like some copycat movie...so boring...had to skip and watch as it was so slow..There s nothing thrilling in this..Big stars with a bad movie n script and scene. The police do a big investigation n find out the culprits and let them go n ask him to go n do the crime...n hero with no minimum common sense trying to do it under full police protection n in hospital...n Sreenath bhasi looks like he cannot even stand up n he s ready to fight everyone with nothing ... No sense,no story line, slowwww and Vani vishwanath was a surprise to see but no impact in this role..would love to her in better roles ....

    Azadi Climax unexpected

"Azadi" delivers an enthralling cinematic journey, captivating audiences from its opening scene to its powerful conclusion. The film's meticulously crafted screenplay and fluid narrative ensure a relentless pace, eliminating any possibility of a slow or unengaging moment.

The production quality of "Azadi" is exceptional, marked by high standards and insightful direction that skillfully amplifies both the emotional resonance and the inherent tension of the story. Complementing this visual excellence, the film's musical score and songs are expertly composed, enriching the emotional tapestry and deepening the impact of every sequence.

A standout feature of "Azadi" is its phenomenal ensemble cast. Each actor delivers a compelling and authentic performance, infusing their characters with vibrant energy and drawing viewers further into the narrative. Their dedication to their roles is palpable, creating a truly immersive experience.

The film's true brilliance culminates in its climax-an ingenious and unexpected twist that not only elevates the entire viewing experience but also leaves a profound and lasting impression.

This is unequivocally a film that demands to be seen.

    Below Average Fim

The Malayalam film "Azadi," directed by Jo George and written by Sagar, attempts to narrate a gripping jailbreak drama but ultimately falls short in multiple areas. The story revolves around a desperate plan to rescue a pregnant woman from jail when she's transferred to a hospital for childbirth. While the premise carries potential for suspense and emotional depth, the film gets bogged down by outdated writing and a lackluster execution that undermines its impact. The screenplay follows a very familiar template for jailbreak films, but the writing feels uninspired and riddled with clichés, which detracts from what could have been a taut thriller.

One of the film's glaring weaknesses is its heavy reliance on melodrama over actual thrill. The narrative often veers into overly dramatic territory, filled with heavy-handed dialogues that come off as forced rather than natural. This detracts from the emotional engagement and weakens the storytelling, making several scenes feel unearned or exaggerated. The pacing suffers due to repetitive moments, especially with the police repeatedly declaring that they have the situation under control, which becomes tiresome and diminishes tension rather than adding to it.

The characters, while played by a capable cast, are let down by poor writing and underdeveloped arcs. Vani Viswanath's character, despite the actress's strong screen presence, is notably weak with little depth or meaningful development. Her overacting is very boring, the dialogue delivery is like robotic. The hero, played by Sreenath Bhasi, appears to lack basic common sense in the plot, with moments that defy logic, such as trying to execute plans under full police protection and in hospital settings without realistic obstacles. Several supporting characters, including Lal and Saiju Kurup, receive subpar treatment in terms of their roles and dialogues, which weakens the overall ensemble performance.

The film's editing and direction show some promise, but a tighter cut could have helped eliminate the drag and maintain a better pace. The musical score by Varun Unni is one of the few positive elements, providing good emotional support to the scenes. However, strong technical elements cannot fully compensate for the narrative shortcomings that drag the film down.

Most disappointing is the climax twist, which comes across as contrived and undermines the emotional buildup established earlier in the movie. Instead of adding a layer of sophistication or surprise, the twist feels forced and detracts from the story's coherence and impact. This misstep ultimately leaves the audience feeling dissatisfied rather than rewarded for having stayed through the drama.

In sum, "Azadi" is a below-average film that squanders its promising setup due to weak writing, a predictable storyline, and uneven characterizations. While it benefits from good performances and some technical merits, these are not enough to rescue a film hampered by clichés, slow pacing, and an underwhelming climax. It might appeal to die-hard fans of the genre, but for most viewers, it is likely to be a tedious and forgettable experience.
