An absolutely painful movie to sit through, even at 75 minutes. The actors are all ineffectual and the story leaves no impression. Is this supposed to be suspenseful, thrilling, a drama, or a faith-based movie? I ended up laughing at a lot of the dialogue, so I must have missed what the aim was.
Normally I would beef up my review with suggestions on how a bad movie can be improved. I think the entire project should have been scrapped.
A 13 year old kid suffers a fall and loses his memory, and the consciousness of a murder victim ends up inhabiting his body. That sounds interesting on paper, but what's dumb is that the kid's personality doesn't change at all. He conducts himself as a confused kid the entire movie, instead of transitioning into a drug fiend.

First of all, I want to congratulate the entire team because what you've created is absolutely beautiful, powerful, and touching. The subject of identity is so universal and resonates with so many people, making it a story that feels deeply personal yet incredibly relatable.
I loved everything about the movie and felt truly connected to the characters. The actors' performances were deeply impressive and brought an extra layer of authenticity and emotion to the experience. It was clear how much care and thought went into each role, and it made the film even more compelling.
The cinematography and music were also absolutely stunning, perfectly complementing the emotional depth of the story. The visuals and soundscapes made each scene come alive, helping to tell the story in such a profound way.
The film explores the theme of finding ourselves in a world full of uncertainty, and it does so beautifully. It's a heartfelt journey of hope, strength, and trust-reminding us that it's okay to not be okay, but it's also okay to find moments of peace and happiness along the way.
Chasing Light is unlike any other film, and I'm sure it will stay with me for a long time. Congratulations once again to the entire team for creating something truly remarkable.

Seeing this story come to life is amazing. I've actually heard stories of people experiencing this and it's really amazing that sometimes a person gets a "second chance" to redeem themselves. I would also like to say although I loved this storyline.. I do think the movie could've flowed better! This is just my opinion!! The Director did a great job and I know he's going to get even better!! Same as me! Im working on my acting chops! ✨🙌🏻 With that said I loved the color pallet and all the actors/actresses involved did phenomenal!! I will definitely recommend/share this movie! Well done Travis!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
When you understand love has no boundaries you can allow yourselves to imagine, to feel a creation like this. Trav, takes us on a journey of not one person's life, but several. We see the grief stricten mother. The father that couldn't take the pain. A set of parents that have no clue what's happening. A child that gets a second chance and a mother that understands to love your child with absolute completeness sometimes means to let go. What would I be able to offer as a review for such a masterpiece as this? Nothing. There are no words to describe it. It's a MUST SEE, MUCH NEEDED piece of art.
From the opening scene, the film pulls you into its world with breathtaking visuals. The cinematography feels almost like a character itself, capturing the raw beauty of nature in ways that make you pause and reflect. Watching Chasing Light was extremely suspenseful for me lol I kept wondering what was going to happen next. What stood out to me the most was the connection between Max and his mother. One moment that stayed with me was when Max finally realized what was happening to him. The film's pacing was slower than your typical suspense, but I found it fitting. It gave me time to sit with the emotions and absorb the message about finding light even in life's darkest moments. If I had one critique, it's that I wish the ending had been just a bit more fleshed out. Without spoiling anything, it felt a little abrupt after such an emotional buildup. But even so, it left me with a sense of hope and a reminder to look for beauty in the everyday. Also it sort of gave me that maybe the director wanted the viewers to interpret the ending to their liking. If so, that was absolutely genius. Great job to the cast and crew seriously! I enjoy film where it's not so gimmicky and all in your face, but you feel the soul of it.
For anyone who loves movies that make you think, feel, and maybe even shed a tear, I highly recommend Chasing Light. It's not just a film; it's an experience.
