I definitely was not expecting much when I rented this film off of YouTube. I went to the matinee on the day that Cocaine Bear opened, so I consider myself an expert in films like this. The first 30 to 40 minutes were uneventful.
But once the killing started there were many memorable moments that will stick with you, and for that alone makes this film, head and shoulders above many other films including other genres, too.
The raccoon was so awesomely scrappy looking without going in the detail, I just loved the over the top everything towards the end. And the gratuitous nude scenes, which is exactly where gratuitous nothing more we're great!

Brad Twigg's Crackcoon is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. It's a low budget indie horror film, meaning it was crowd funded and then created with the funds raised on Indiegogo.
A raccoon eats some street crack that gets tossed out by two drug dealers about to be pulled over by the police. When the dealers return to where they tossed the drugs, they find them missing and meet up with the cracked out raccoon. The raccoon attacks everyone who comes into it's path. The attacks are gory and funny.
If you enjoy your horror mixed with humor, you'll enjoy Crackcoon. Again, this is an independent film shot on a small budget. It isn't going to look like or have the effects of a multimillion dollar film. If you keep your expectations in place, you'll find Crackcoon to be a quality film.
Also, many popular actors and actresses of the current indie horror scene are in this including; Beth Metcalf (Inner Beauty), Morrigan Milam (Lust, Magic, and the Witches Sabbath), Angel Bradford (Night of the Axe), Hunter Redfern (Inner Beauty) and the fabulous Jessa Flux (Murdercise).

I had actually been looking forward to this movie ever since I first saw the poster/cover when it was revealed. Sure, I wasn't harboring any grand expectations, as there has been a bunch of questionable movies with animals on drugs after the success of "Cocaine Bear". But, the movie's cover/poster really was interesting, and the movie's concept was interesting.
And finally I had the chance to sit down and watch director Brad Twigg's 2024 movie "Crackcoon". So was it worth the wait? No, not really. Sure, "Crackcoon" was better than many of the other low budget movies with animals on drugs, but it was nowhere near the league of "Cocaine Bear". Sure, it was watchable, but it just wasn't an outstanding or particular memorable viewing experience.
Of course I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. And that is actually something I enjoy when I sit down to watch movies. The acting performances in "Crackcoon" were fair. Of the entire cast ensemble, it was only actress Rosaria Eraso that managed to stand up in my opinion.
The raccoon looked rather fake, especially since it was relatively inarticulate and moved about in a lifeless manner.
The movie does have a fair share of blood and gore, which wasn't the best of special effects, but it was actually sufficiently gory enough to lift up the movie a notch or two.
Ultimately I found "Crackcoon" somewhat of a disappointing movie. But if you enjoy outrageous horror comedies, then you might consider giving this movie a chance.
My rating of "Crackcoon" lands on a four out of ten stars.

Okay, so the night i met my boyfriend, we were under the influence and we came home and saw this movie on the recently added section of our IPTV. We put this on and have been going strong since that first night we met. Expectations were low but this has become a favorite within our friend group. The acting is awful, the score is clearly royalty free music, the raccoon puppet is terribly made but this movie is absolutely hilarious. It's a riot from start to finish. I swear they pulled random people off of the street to act in this movie. By no means whatsoever is this a good movie, but it's at that "it's so terrible it's passable" point. Low budget movie all around. We LOVE this movie. If someone sees this review, I would love to purchase the raccoon puppet.
Could best be described as a white exploitation film. No fear factor supplied by mediocre characters. Perhaps some acting classes and a non bubble gum budget could have made this film tolerable. The ratty assed racoon looked like it was designed by blind highschool children. The nude scenes couldn't save this one. The opening scene cuts to inexplicable morgue scene. The portrayal of the gay men was lame. I gave one star for the sheriff's wife's boobs. The best thing about the movie is that it ended. I am praying to the movie gods that there will not be a sequel. Mankind has suffered enough misery.
