Who gives a 1* review based on bad jokes? It's a kids show and the jokes are really funny for kids.
It is just typical American junk but it is really good at what it is trying to be and that is good cheeky humour for kids with a feel good vibe.
I prefer them watching this to some of the other stuff they watch.

The Thundermans (2013-2018) is a Nickelodeon sitcom I used to watch a lot as a kid and it was fun. Now as an adult, the show is just okay enough.
Positives for The Thundermans (2013-2018): The best thing about this show is the cast that includes Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Addison Riecke, Diego Velazquez, Chris Tallman, Rosa Blasi and Maya Le Clark. They work well enough as a family unit and their comedic timing is very good for what they had to work with in the show. The fight scenes are fun enough with some hilarious special effects. I like the variety of villains and their unique powers. And finally, this is one of those shows where you need to turn your brain off to enjoy it.
Negatives for The Thundermans (2013-2018): There is some humor that hasn't aged so well and it's not for the reasons that some people might be thinking because he who shall not be named don't create this show. This is one of those Nickelodeon sitcoms where they just don't write good humor all the time. I don't think Nickelodeon is that good at creating sitcoms for kids. And finally, this show is a discount version of Pixar's The Incredibles (2004).
Overally, The Thundermans (2013-2018) is an acceptable enough Nickelodeon sitcom thanks to the charm of the cast, but it didn't blow me away.

An abnormal family with superpowers and kids that have a bad behavior, watching their adventures. Most of the episodes are super-silly, super-boring and the jokes are pretty bad. All the kids are terrible actors, except for Kira Kosarin (Phoebe) who is talented and really pretty and I love watching her (I'm a guy). The most silly things are: the talking evil bunny and the 5th kid that appeared later and grew up fast. Other than that, some episodes can be interesting, but they are very few...
Great clean family fun! Sad to hear that the show ended. We bindged the whole first season, when we first found this on Hulu, in a week.
The TV-Show "The Thunderman reminds me on the good old days of Nickelodeon, when the program was full of shows like "The penguins of Madagascar", "The Big Time Rush" or "Victorious".
The show has the typical Nick-gene and that makes it great, the plot is easy and doesn't shifts too much out of topic, even through Max and Phoebe are superheroes, to 99% they have to deal with average teenage-stuff, like family, school and friends.
I absolutely like that Nickelodeon has filmed a lot of scenes outside of the home of the Thundermans (School, Shopping-mall etc.).
I have to add that I only commend this fact as positive because the new Nick-show completely ignore this!
Also positive is the performance of the actors in the play, there is a real effort visible.
All in all, I like it because it is what a normal Nick-show has to be, simply done, sometimes funny and otherwise just relaxed with the feeling that now is free time.
