The Gerry Anderson Podcast is brilliant, very informative and very entertaining. I've been listening since it started and it's got even better since it switched to the new video format. Jamie Anderson, Richard James and Chris Dale do such a wonderful job celebrating the legacy of the legendary producer Gerry Anderson MBE. The individual segments are all very enjoyable. FAB Facts is a very informative segment and I've learnt lots of things related to Gerry's life and career. The Randomiser is very enjoyable and Chris Dale's commentary of the episodes is both informative and entertaining. Overall a fantastic Podcast. It's F. A. B.!
The Gerry Anderson podcast never ages just like Gerry's shows the hosts Richard James Jamie Anderson and Chris ( Randomiser) Dale are always fun and full of banter and Fab facts, there's great interviews from the Anderson shows and beyond and its a great pod for all the latest news the from the world's of Anderson and news of the latest merch there's the most important part of the show 😉 is the randomizer where Chris Dale talks you through a random episode of a random Anderson show with much humor and hilarity now with the pod being recorded on video and on YouTube adds a new dimension certainly well worth a watch or a listen.
This podcast is a joy. I grew up in the 60s and 70s, and Gerry Anderson's productions were some of my very favourite
shows (with the vehicles from these shows some of my very favourite toys!) But that having been said, I am very far from being any kind of "super-fan" (I don't go to conventions, and own almost no "merch") and actually don't particularly enjoy most sci-fi. But none of this matters. I have spent more time listening to this podcast than any other (all 299 episodes to date, I think!) and feel sure it would be enjoyed by anyone with even the slightest interest in any Gerry Anderson production. The podcast is great fun, with a lovely rapport between the hosts (Jamie - son of Gerry - Richard and Chris) and just the right amount of silliness! The regular features (FAB Facts, News, Interview, The Voice Of The Podsterons and The Randomiser) are always interesting & entertaining, regardless of the show(s) being discussed, and whether or not they are ones that I particularly know and love. In summary, listening to this podcast cannot help but lift your spirits. Why not give it a try?!
This long running weekly podcast now broadcasts on YouTube video, as well as all good audio platforms.
Presented in a light fun manner, the Gerry Anderson universe covers his TV producing career from the 1950s to the 2000s. His most famous work would be Thunderbirds, but you could also say Space 1999, Captain Scarlet, UFO, or even Terrahawks depending on your age.
The show has a fun 'Fab Facts' trivia segment, letters from listeners and fans, celebrity interviews, and the very popular screening of a random episode from Gerry's vast output with commentary by noted fan Chris Dale.
I would encourage anyone to check out an episode hosted by both his son Jamie, and writer/actor Richard who worked on the show Space Precinct (but that's seldom mentioned :-) ).
The podcast has a solid following, but there are people who have not heard of it. Hopefully with IMDB reviews, it will find those fans not aware of it's existence and do an internet search or use the IMDB links to find it.
