Catie Lazarus is a Riot

Saw the teaser in New York at a screening at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and the audience was in pain laughing. Could easily be a TV or even web series. Portlandia then ripped it off with rats and they're sweet, but MYC definitely has legs. It's rare to see a strong female lead in animation and, frankly, a show where the characters are somewhat grounded. I mean they are still mice who have problems "just like us." Ultimately, it comes down to Catie Lazarus as a writer and she is mischievously funny, without being precious, thoughtful, and economical as a writer. Looking forward to more from Catie Lazarus and M.Y.C.
