An insult to a viewer of average intelligence.

Although I very much appreciate the topic and the format of the documentary, and even Mahony with his mix of seriousness and humility, he is sadly mixing the holy with the unholy. He has zero discernment and invites the crème de la crème of highly problematic teachers, some of those who regularly put themselves into the spotlight by dubious and sometimes outrageous claims.

    PROS

+ Great production quality and music.

+ The documentary includes some good food for thoughts, but the majority of food is rather poisonous.

+ Joel Richardson was the only ray of hope in this documentary, and it was wonderful to see his true admiration and fear of the Word of THEOS. Otherwise and apart from many beautiful scriptural quotations, there is little admiration of the Word found in this documentary.

    CONS

    • Invitation of the Seventh-Day Adventist Mary Nell Wyatt-Lee, who is after the death of her husband Ron still making money from his bogus claims (claimed to have found Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah, Mt. Sinai, the remains of Pharaoh's army at the bottom of the Red Sea, the Ark of the Covenant, the Ten Commandment stones, actual blood from the body of Jesus Christ, et al).

    • That not being enough, the unofficial successor of Ron Wyatt, namely Bob Cornuke, also appears prominently in the documentary. He now similarly alleges to have discovered the location of Mount Sinai, the Ark of the Covenant, Noah's ark, and Paul's shipwrecked vessel on Malta ...

    • Invitation of Temple Grandin, who was raised in the Episcopal Church (Catholic), and early on gave up on a belief in a personal deity or intention in favor of a more scientific perspective. Her interpretation of a supposed site for animal sacrifices is simply wasted time and she herself probably wondered why she had been invited to such a documentary.

    • Great approach by Deborah Hurn, to first define the river systems. But her conclusion of daily stations is probably wrong. She is obviously wrong when claiming that 'less than 6000 Israelites' have travelled on the Exodus. Her 12 knee-high pillars are a plain insult to the viewer and to the Word. A highly problematic teacher.

    • Endorsement of Cecil B. DeMille and his 'epic' film 'The 10 Commandments' (through extensive scenes of the movie!), which is a deeply heretical movie I recently reviewed with the following headline: 'This movie takes the inglorious crown of the most inaccurate and twisted depiction of 'biblical' history. Although being a cinematic masterpiece, it is also a masterpiece of satan.'

    • Participation of David Rohl, who claimed in another episode that manna fell from the trees and who made numerous other dubious claims. Outside of this documentary, he also mislocalized the Garden of Eden (Lake Urmia). A clear false teacher, who is deeply intertwined with Mahoney's productions, by even providing music and technical advisory.

    • Problematic pronouncement of one scholar to have found stones that look pretty much like the '2 tablets of the law'. They also show a nearly intact 'horned altar' which looks as if it was built weeks ago.

    • Erroneous claim by Colin Humphreys that the acacia bush would have provided charcoal, and that Moses would have thrown several branches in the water in order to turn it from bitter to drinkable. This is wild-west-theology and does show a deep unbelief in THEOS' abilities.

    • Humbreys further claims that "the burning bush was underneath a volcanic bent and the bush would effectively keep burning ..."

    • Highly problematic endorsement of the great anti-Christ Augustine through Humphreys, using him to justify his denial of miracles and to much rather look for practical and naturalistic explanations, as he himself plainly admits.

    • Wild-west theology on Gal 4:25 ("for this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and doth correspond ('systoicheo') to the Jerusalem that now (is), and is in servitude with her children, 26and the Jerusalem above ('ano') is the free-woman").

They now interpret this Bible verse to say that Mt. Sinai lays South on the exactly same meridian !!!

They seriously employ Aristotle's very vague interpretation of the Greek word 'systoicheo' as 'meridian of longitude', and of the word 'ano' as 'north', although both of those interpretations are not even found in Strong's dictionary. To employ such an exegesis and to draw this conclusion, is true wild-west-theology and clutching at the tiniest of straws.

    • Display of numerous dubious bull images which they somehow try to relate to biblical sites of worship. Much other useless material is included.
