So this was where the iconic Alexandra scene occurred

I've never been fond of nude scenes in movies and Tv shows. I actually like Hart. I don't think it works to have both the leads with problems and negative shades. Hart could have been the positive out of the two. I know it is very early to latch on or come to conclusions but for some odd reason I feel like I know who did it. I might be completely off but I have a hunch. Love that they added the visual of what Rust goes through. Another good ep on a whole, eventhough it was less gripping than the first. P.s. Love the interaction between the two leads, it's like two brothers with separate personalities going off at each other's cons.

    Characters show depth

Episode where characters are in situations which gives more dimmension to them. You know how it goes by now. However did anyone else notice that harsh frequency in Alexandrias apartment? Constant ringing but only in scenes in her apartment.

"Seeing Things", the second episode of True Detective maintains the momentum and gravitas established in the premiere. Detective Hart learns the secret about his partner that his wife learned in the last episode. And we learn a somewhat morally ambiguous secret about Hart himself. Interestingly, the show spent some time on the other person involved and their motivations and desires. An actor from Breaking Bad has a cameo which was a pleasant surprise.

I am looking forward to how the rest of this season plays out.

    Alexandra Daddario

My rating is just for Alexandra Daddario, everything else meh. Story movement is slow fails to keep me engaged. Looking forward to what this highly rated tv show got.

    8.65/10, Getting Better

Another great episode of this possible epic season of television. This is the last episode of the episodes that are a 9 star rating or lower, because every episodes between 3-8 are a 9.1 star rating or higher, which I am surprised. My favorite characters in this episode were Rust, Marty, and Maggie. My favorite things about this episode were the Protagonist, the storyline, and the Cinematography. I asked my mom what the ranking of the True Detectve seasons were, she told me that this season was the best, the third one was in the middle, and the second was the worst one. I personally wonder if the 4th episode of this season is really the best episode of this season, according to this app's/website's rating.

    • Trivia
When the detectives stop their car outside the abandoned church, there is a shot of Rust looking at the horizon when suddenly a group of black birds take flight from the bushes. As the old Rust voices over the scene, the group of birds start making random patterns in the sky, one of which is the spiral sign as seen tattooed on the murdered victims' backs.

Detective Rust Cohle: I can't say the job made me this way. More like me being this way made me right for the job. I used to think about it more, but you reach a certain age you know who you are. Now I live in a little room, out in the country behind a bar, work four nights a week, and in between I drink. And there ain't nobody there to stop me. I know who I am. And after all these years, there's a victory in that.
