From someone who watches hours upon hours of true crime shows, documentaries, and fictional television shows due to being chronically ill and unable to leave the house much - I have to say that the way each episode or story is told/presented is 85% better than most of the true crime shows out there today. Elizabeth did a great job interviewing families/victims/survivors and showing compassion and empathy throughout the series. Her ability to be genuine with people opens a lot of doors for her so I think she's able to get access to, and to get more out of people than many other journalists. Hoping for Season 2 and was disappointed season 1 was only 6 episodes. Worth the watch for you true crime aficionados.
It's very rare I write a review here but it's clear this is getting review bombed by Armie lovers. Please don't listen to the misleading 1-2 stars. This show is coming out weekly so those reviewing it as a whole show shows the blatant disrespect. I had no idea who this host was and after the first episode I googled her, it's the only reason I was able to connect her story. She's truly shining a light onto victims and survivors as a journalist who's been there but not interjecting any of her personal story.
I genuinely wish she would do an episode on her story because she HAS been there and while it's clear she's coming from a place of empathy, I'd love to know more.
With that being said, the candor of this show is amazing and so beautiful to see. It's incredibly hard to watch but shines a lot on the stories so many women have to deal with. Whether it's the abuse or the injustice of our society and police departments.
I'm truly astounded by this show and cannot wait for more episodes to come out and applaud the host for retaining the light to shine on each victims individual story.

The 1st 4 episodes were intriguing and fairly solid, with not too much over dramatized story telling. IMO the last 2 cliff Hanging episodes may have put a nail in the coffin of any possible return for this series. What could have been sumerized in a half an episode and split with another story was beaten like a dead horse for 5 times the attention that story deserved. I feel if it stayed with the original tragectory we'd have a season 2, unfortunately watching paint dry during episode 5 and 6 most likely means we won't see this beautiful woman return for a sophomore season. Ashame I was getting into the grove of watching this weekly at the start.
Wow, thank you for exposing the system and what the survivors of abuse go through. I thought I was just slipping through the cracks in the system, but this story is so similar to mine and I am starting to realize it is the SYSTEM that allows it. You are brave, you are bold and you are making a difference. Thank you.
People, pay attention. These crazy people exist and they are not rare unicorns. They are master manipulators. The courts and systems allow it and know EXACTLY what is happening. Don' t give up, you are amazing and will overcome, you will become stronger. Your experience will encourage others!!!!!!

Some of the stories have already been covered by numerous crime shows; better crime shows. While I feel for the victims and their families, I don't know why they'd want to be interviewed by Elizabeth. She looks like she's bored out of her mind and falling asleep. Every shot has her nearly closing her eyes and she's so disengaged. She was horrible to her cast members on Grand Caymen. I feel like her true personality came out there, so I'm not sure why I bothered starting this series. I like true crime, but Elizabeth's lack of journalistic ability really shines through. No, I'm not an Armie fan, so it has nothing to do with her personal life/trauma/drama, etc.
