The film explores themes of life and death and how humans seek meaning from a world that appears to have none. It's about relationships of all kinds - friends, lovers, family, loss, gain and hope. At 110 minutes the film moves very fast and is often described as an emotional rollercoaster with genuine laugh-out-loud moments throughout - even during the moving of scenes.

Kangaroo Island is a striking film that blends breathtaking landscapes with an intimate, human story. Set against the island's rugged beauty, the movie explores love, loss, and resilience in a way that feels both grounded and poetic. The performances are heartfelt without tipping into melodrama, and the cinematography makes the island itself feel like a central character.
At times the pacing lingers, but the quiet moments only heighten the emotional impact. By the final act, you're left with a deep sense of connection-to the place, the people, and the themes of survival and hope. A visually stunning and emotionally rich film that lingers long after the credits roll.

From the very first scene of this spectacular South Australian film 'Kangaroo Island', I was hooked. It offered everything! Wonderful acting, authentic characters, love and family challenges, as well as picturesque scenery, ideal accompanying music and spot-on Aussie humour. I laughed, I cried and I rode the bumpy ride of the Wells family. A heart-warming, realistic insight into love and loss for a close-knit family, so perfect in their imperfections. Superbly directed and so well written, this is a must see film for all.

The story was captivating, full of some juicy twists and turns, and the humour throughout added a delightful touch. Every performance was wonderfully acted. A must-see - go and watch it!
