Of course this person is just as culpable as the rapist! She aided, abetted and even helped him become erect. Ugh. Wish I didn't know THAT.
This docuseries was far, FAR longer than necessary. In fact, if not for being dubbed, I'd have never made it through one episode. Six hours of reading subtitles was NOT going to happen.
If it isn't bad enough to know about all these innocent girls losing their lives but these evil creatures having a child in the midst of this!
After watching only half of this I need five steam showers and six appointments with my therapist.
No port for the wife, not at all.

A very well made documentary about one of the few French serial killer and his wife who essentially helped and enabled all the horror. They really go into a lot of the sordid details, so it's definitely not for the faint hearted.
Apparently some viewers have complained about the English audio dubbing, it seems they might not be aware that subtitles exist or just can't are too lazy to read them. Giving bad reviews for something like that is pretty sad.
It's too bad, because this show really deserves a watch, even though it's a difficult watch where the worst of human nature is put on display.

The audio had English spoken over French spoken which added nothing to the documentary and was extremely annoying. If not for this it would have been much easier to watch. I would like to know why the film makers did that. It had the effect of sounding like a lot of loud background interference. I just coul not get really engaged because of this. It is a shame because I've not heard of this person before and would have liked to find out more. As of now I'm just watching until I can longer endure the noise pollution of spoken French background noise. I am a fan of true crime this is the first time I have not been able to finish a true crime film.
It has its ups and downs, but overall it's a well made documentary. I do have to say that it's a hard watch because the case is disturbing. And by that I mean really disturbing. It involves such young children (youngest being 9) and the details that are shared are sickening.
I genuinely feel like I wasn't prepared for this experience, cause the way they made this, with the police pictures of Olivier reenacting what happened and how it happened, made me feel like being there in a way, actively watching them commit their crimes. It's disturbing.
No true crime documentary has gotten to me this way before.
And for the people giving this below 5 stars for it being English dubbed, just keep the French and use subtitles. Do you never watch anything other than your own language?..

Super slow and stretching it out like a lot of docs these days. Really hard to continue watching because it's so dragged out. Do better
Nobody wants to keep p hearing the same stuff over and over. Lost interest due to being in my phone cause it was boring and repetitive
Not sure why I need to leave such a long review. Stupid reall, the truth can be told in much less words
Trying to weed out the bad apples I guess. Otherwise, it's alright I guess but no need to be so stretched out. Unnecessary m, like this review
Why why why do I have to keep typing. Who knows? There are better docs available. Look harder.
