The writing alone makes this show worth watching. It's a very interesting plot that blew my mind. The show also has good animation quality, decent voice acting, and excellent pacing/direction. Overall it's a great show, highly recommended!
Good 13 episode without a tear as most of best anime just squeeze your tear out.
That not a thing here a very lite story and try to made like to be strong as possible. However story is feel flat.
I can say they leave some of the emotional touch but still it is fine.

In this series, Ledo, a lieutenant, crashes on Earth, now covered almost completely by oceans, and is a foreigner in this strange land because of his language and cultural barriers. He soon grows to understand the locals who live on floating fleets across the seas of the world. There is one LGBTQ character: Lukkage, the Pirate Queen, who has two sex slaves who are her pilots, and has a crush on Pinion. This show is just as good as Sym-Bionic Titan, , but I just enjoy those shows more and feel that they have strengths that this show lacks. In any case, this show has a justified rating at the present time
This anime series was another sci-fi favorite after I watched it. I was going to watch it on Netflix, but I had bought the series on DVD instead.
It has been a long while since I had finished the series, so all I could remember is that during a battle in the farthest reach of space, a young soldier named Ledo and his Machine Caliber (an artificially intelligent, automated, humanoid-shaped battle suit) called "Chamber" got propelled into a wormhole and marooned on a strange ocean planet where humans live on what looks like a town and a battleship put together. Reluctantly, Ledo adjusts to the lifestyle of the "fleet" Gargantia. After much deliberation, he discovered that the ocean planet is in fact the cradle of mankind, Earth.
I love the ending theme, and I thought Amy's pet Grace was too cute! This series has wonderful animation as well as an awesome story. This series also makes me want to watch the Kevin Costner movie "Waterworld," but that movie has a different story line than "Gargantia." Overall, "Gargantia" is another awesome anime series.

This show is good. Not great, but certainly not terrible. The animation and art design are both absolutely gorgeous. Everything looks amazing, from the characters to the environment. Those two things I can say are definitely far above average. Everything else is fine I guess. Nothing very original or jaw dropping, but it didn't really need to be. It was perfectly enjoyable and I was okay with that. It reminded me how I felt about Blue Exorcist. Both are mindless shows with nothing super amazing (besides animation), but they're both enjoyable and fun. If you don't have anything else to watch, this'll meet your needs. It's short and entertaining, who can complain?
