    the storyline flat

The storyline is very flat and easy to predict, the film is far from expectations, the horror scenes are nothing new and many even imitate other films, the quality of the film is far from other Indonesian horror films. The storyline is boring and predictable, and there are many oddities in the film, even though the actors / actresses have played well but the storyline is not good, which causes this film to be bad. It seems that a lot of changes are needed for the next series if you want to compete with other Indonesian horror films, the quality of the stories needs to be changed and improved, in the future there must be lots of new horror scenes.

    Evil lurks

No Betina intended - I mean no pun intended! Since I know a few Bettinas, I do wonder if they feel insulted by this ... of course that means something completely different and not being aimed at anyone with that name. That all said, we all know the real name of evil .. which you will be getting here too ... to some degree or the other (quite a big one some might say).

That all being said, the movie works on the technical level - and if you don't mind violence and gore/blood quite vividly shown on screen. Of course if you are squeamish, there may be things that you won't be able to stomach. Acting is decent I say, it is more about the mood that this is able to create .. and if you don't care about flaws or logic and common sense ... well there is some scares to be had ...

Betina Pengikut Iblis may not be perfect, but its redeeming elements make it worth a watch

I recently watched the Indonesian film Para Betina Pengikut Iblis (2023) on Netflix. The storyline revolves around a father and daughter living on the outskirts of the city. When the father falls ill and becomes infected, they are driven to desperate measures for food and money. The daughter resorts to killing people and scavenging human remains to feed her father and make money in their neighborhood.

Directed by Rako Prijanto (known for The Clerics), the film stars Adipati Dolken (#friendsbutmarried), Mawar Eva de Jongh (My Ice Girl), Hanggini (Fireworks), and Sara Fajira (Kabut).

This film offers a mix of excellent and missed opportunities. The opening leg scene is particularly impressive. However, the acting and dialogue vary in quality throughout the film, and there are inconsistencies in the authenticity of certain scenes. On the positive side, the kills and gore are exceptionally well-executed, with top-notch scenes of flesh cutting and blood splatter. The goat killing scene is particularly intense. The ending delivers satisfyingly kills as well.

In conclusion, Betina Pengikut Iblis may not be perfect, but its redeeming elements make it worth a watch. I would score this film a 5/10 and recommend seeing it once.

    The devil is called clumsiness

The early minutes have appeared oddities that spoil the entire film. The gore that is used as the selling point of this film, then the acting of the actors (which arguably do not disappoint) has been shattered by this.

    Then what about the devil?

Nothing interesting not even a cringe fall. The devil is noisy and does not describe something that is used as a title. And don't forget the devil's makeup... wow... the makeup looks really weird, you can still see the untouched parts too.

Then the ending, it feels really forced so that there is a sequel. Plus a plot twist that doesn't look like a plot twist. It just brings up huh... "what the heck". There is no clear planting to build the plot twist or the ending.

    Not worth to watch movie

The movie is bad. I expect it to be scary but no. It's just annoying. Especially the guy who portrayed the devil.i don't know what he is. He has fangs like a vampire and red eyes but i'm confused about the character. It really annoyed me. I only wasted my time watching this movie. Lol. The story is really a mess. It gives me headache 😂😂😂😂 the acting also is quiet bad. Please next time make some improvement with the story and the character also, maybe you need to do some workshop to improve the acting skills on every character . Which is very important. Im not a pro ok but i have watched a lot of movies so i can compare.
