Lesbian Love Stories

I was pleasantly surprised by this debut episode of a fledgling new series from Girlfriends Films: the title implied standalone, separate vignettes, but the show is integrated as a single feature.

Premise is chums from school, with one of their mothers in tow, driving to a cabin they used to stay at together, nostalgically reliving their past. Unresolved crushes and love affairs resurface, and the whole experience has more depth than usual in this Lesbian label's history of documenting one-night-stands (which the fans love).

The cast is mainly youngsters, in keeping with the current interest in young things and less slavish reliance upon tried-and-true older/younger match-ups. Exception is superstar Veronica Avluv, hooking up with one of her daughter's pals, played by Jessie Andrews.

The story strays a bit so that variety can be introduced. A girl (Dillion Harper) who was on bad terms with the rest shows up and humps a gal pal after watching the heroines' antics through a window on their cabin. And the redoubtable India Summer is comically cast as a forest ranger (!) but wearing non-regulation clothing, who blackmails a young girl she's caught up to no good in the woods, into having sex with her.

All rather trivial, but well-shot on location by the anonymous Girlfriends crew.
