    Love this show!!!!

There are a lot of dangerous jobs but being a tow truck driver in the Sierras is one of the riskiest!! I admire these men and women who brave the winter elements to help/assist/rescue our loved ones. I also respect the families of these drivers for it cannot be easy to say goodbye every time their loved one goes on a tow call.. Thank you to these professionals......especially Eddie Farrow for sharing his family with us :) I live along the Hwy 80 corridor in the Sierra Foothills and can see and hear the constant flow of travelers every day and often wonder how many of those people will need the help of a tow truck driver going over Donner Summit. Hwy 80 can be a dangerous stretch of highway where these drivers risk their lives for us. I love Hell on the Highway for putting a spot light on these drivers and bringing the risk to light......

    poor at best operators

amateur tow truck operators poor equipment all operators just interested in the money winching loaded semi with one cable while other cable hangs from boom winching cars up embankments using j-hooks just untrained tow operators always talking about a driver that was killed no wonder if he was as untrained as cowboys on show now would be more interesting if operators knew what they were doing these people would last one tow in our company if the boss seen these antics I am sure it is more difficult in the mountains than in Wisconsin all the more reason for at least some training rather than what seems like throw them in truck and let them go

Bad bad commentary! Dull and avoidable.

How did they find such aweful dull and self righteous people to comment on a show, copper who thinks he would do better but has never been in these situations ever, lil miss says what she sees spoiling the sound on clips. The clips are repeated several times to pad the program too, even someone with the attention spam of a goldfish will have seen the subject matter and sigh seeing it repeated again while these 3 random un-celebs chat rubbish over it.

Get on YouTube and avoid all the terrible time wasting comments. You can find these clips easily and fast forward past all the rubbish. Save yourself an hour you won't get back!

Like Highway Thru Hell, but the American version!

Towing is a dangerous job but someone has to do it! And these people prove it!

Terrible show with unnecessary fowl language and bad behaviour

If you are looking for a true documentary about towing in winter conditions, please watch Highway Thru Hell on Discovery. It is based in Hope, BC and focuses on Jamie Davis Towing & Heavy Rescue who keep three highways clear - The Coquihalla (5), The Crowsnest (3), and the TransCanada (1). There have been two seasons so far with 8 and 13 episodes in each. It is an honest and genuine show and I can't wait for Season 3 in 2014. Next year will also include footage from highways serving the Alberta oil sands project in Fort McMurray, 400km north of Edmonton. The crew even did a job this fall to help the NRC (where I work) to lift a damaged radio telescope into place near Penticton, BC. Hopefully, this will air next year.
