It sounds like a cliché, but this was such a well-made finale that I really felt I owe it to the makers of this show to write this review for such an experience..
The season starts very slow, and I thought it was losing the touch, but the guys behind the show once again proved the critics wrong..
mates, "Put your eyes to purpose" this is A MUST WATCH.. every reason not to watch this would be an excuse..
FREEDOMMM!
This is one episode that summarizes several finales rolled into one. Having completed a few series such as House MD, Lost and 24 among others had the feeling most of them are forced after the shows have been milked dry. But not this one.
This one traverses history as is; with a few minor alterations armed with cinematic/TV-show-astic license. But the sheer nonchalance of bringing together everything, including the red serpent, that bodes the first victory of Spartacus is but, a gentle nod to the journey we have had for the last four years.
Liam McIntyre, take a bow; stepping into Andy's shoes was no joke. But let us not mar his acting and emoting with any form of comparison. The creator along with the other actors and crew, have stepped it up for future shows.
A great and a fitting finale. And do catch the credits; the music and the final scene is a shot to the arm.
I am still reeling from it.

- TriviaJust before Spartacus & Crassus meet to discuss possible terms, a messenger approaches the rebel army on horseback. During shooting, the horse was much closer to Liam McIntyre than how it appears in the show. At some point during shooting, it accidentally kicked a small stone at Liam's left eye. The stone gouged out a small chunk of Liam's cornea and he could not see with that eye for several days.
- GoofsJust before Caesar kills Naevia, she raises her sword in one last attempt to strike. When she raises the sword, there is blood on the blade but none on the handle nor the hilt. Seconds later, when she swings and Caesar catches her wrist the hilt and handled are covered in blood.
- Quotes
Spartacus: Soon Crassus will give command! And we shall face his legions in open battle! We stand in the shadow of greater might! As their Republic cast across the lives of every man, every woman, and every child condemned to the darkness of slavery! Forced to toil and suffer, so that those of coin and position can see their fortunes grow beyond need or purpose! Let us teach them, that all who draw breath are of equal worth! And that those that seek to place heel upon the throat of liberty will fall to the cry of freedom!
- Crazy creditsThe end credits play over a montage of photos of all the major characters from every season of the show, finishing with a clip of Andy Whitfield shouting "I am Spartacus!".
