I really hope they decide to bring it back. I saw it as an option on a streaming app and figured I'd give it a try. It was not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. There's action as well as backstory, storyline not hard to fallow, and some wholesome enjoyment to it with the slugs. It's not something you'd probably be extremely invested in as an adult (as is) but its not so boring that you couldnt enjoy watching with your kids whom its targeted for. So really any age can get something out of it at the very least to bond or kill some time.
I actually hope they bring it back. I believe they didnt properly go about advertising for it, but between the influence from people already familiar as well as broaden the targeted audience. Im sure then, they'd give it a shot as well as bring in all the fans and those stragglers that noticed it between then and now along with new watchers.
There's so much to do with it as in games, tcg, toys, etc. It's a shame I feel it wasnt properly marketed or just hit at a bad time and didnt get the fan base it deserved.
It's not the best show ever for everyone, so don't get me wrong. I do think however that it is good enough to give it another go. At the very least enough to complete it or have the options to go in a different direction with it and not leave a perfectly good show/idea and source of entertainment to rot because of poor timing or handling.
The only changes I would make would be add a bit more stable characters, as well as make it more relatable for teen and adult generations and surely they would bond over it with their kids or enjoy it by themselves/w friends. Also add something to go along with it like with a happy meal. The slugs are cute enough and arent gross where they'd push people away. Make some nerve guns for it. Cards to collect and make a game out of it even.

As a (supposed) adult, you'd think I'd have better things to do than sit around all day watching cartoons, but honestly I can't think of a better way to spend my time than by watching Slugterra. It just works! Great characters, excellent world building, brilliant art, clever storyline and amazing voice talent just ties this together into the perfect 10/10 package. Each episode is enjoyable and the progressive storyline is really interesting as well.
I'll be honest, at first I saw this and just thought "Really?? Someone has come up with the idea of 'what if the slugs in guns were ACTUAL slugs?!' and run with it???" But the slugs are adorable and the characters around them take this premise and run far, far away from the basic idea building something far more than just a gunslinging creature-collection cartoon.
I highly recommend Slugterra, just be prepared to want to marathon all three seasons once you start :P

Great show. The weakest part is the molenoid Pronto but other than that the story and introduction to story elements are amazing. Such as twist villains , macguffins and of course it's an omage to classic westerns .
My husband and I watch this show with our 10yo son. We didn't intend to, but the story line is very compelling. I was a bit disappointed with a couple details in the show, but it won't stop me from watching. This is one show that my husband and I don't mind our son watching. My husband and I often laugh out loud while watching. I'm glad that the dialogue is not over simplified for children. Children are really quite intelligent. Again I hope that the number of seasons for Slugterra begin to rival The Simpsons. I also hope that the plots stay exciting, interesting, and entertaining without being repetitive.
Slugterra is a very interesting, exciting, and interesting concept of layers of worlds within planet Earth. The battle between good and evil is ever apparent. All of the characters are enjoyable. Because of the level of fictional fighting, children younger than 10 MAY not be able to fully realize that this is imaginative and not real. We still have to deal with a level of that in our 10yo son. Otherwise, this show makes you want a Slugterra slug of your own. Thank you, Asaph Fipke, very much. Thank you also to the voice-over actors. Wonderful jobs.

While the animation starts with being off-putting, you get used to it, and it becomes smoother with every episode. I enjoyed it when it first came out, then didn't return to it later. From a modern look, it's a bit rough of a show, but the writing's still quite good.
It's about using slugs as ammo in an underground world. Following the adventures of Eli Shane and his friends, you get the concept of 99 different caverns to explore, as well as a nefarious villain and other plotlines. You get typical do-goody nature, complete with typical heroics.
Unfortunately, this series never finished. Even with it's Season 6 Netflix episodes, it was never finished. In fact, it seemingly retconned much of Slugterra only to end with "here's a new character and new plot elements" instead of finishing -anything-.
If you're okay with that fact, then you'll get a pretty enjoyable journey, as long as you forget Season 6 exists and treat it as "he lives underground with his friends, this is his life now, the end". Which would be the best summary of how to end the story after Season 5.
Oddly enough, a mobile game for it still gets updated. The concept would work great for an xcom-styled game, too.
While the lack of an end is a shame, it's still a treat to bless the animated world.
