Wonderful! An animated film for grown-ups! Don't be fooled in thinking this is for kids because it is animated! No way, this is an action adventure fantasy horror. I loved the computer game style animation. This was super exciting, from the opening to the climatic end. There was literally never a dull moment and the film took a few unexpected turns, as well. I never expected it to be so gory.
The film offers a very likable protagonist and a decent antagonist. Throw in a beast and a handful of people to battle the evil and you have a film filled with suspense, action and drama. Loved it!

As the first movie from Mind's Eye Studios, and low budget, this is excellent. This movie is so much fun to watch. It makes you feel like a kid again only the Minotaur is darker and scarier than anything in The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. The voices are fantastic. The musical score is beautiful and carries the emotion of the film from the joyous welcoming of the tributes to the dark depths of the labyrinth. The animation is great, though could be better (the female anatomy defies gravity but I think most men will not mind and running scenes could use improvement). The story is well told and keeps you in suspense. The movie has great momentum. It's a fun ride that ends too soon! I want a sequel!!
I have seen this movie at least a dozen times and it gets better every time I watch it. You can really tell that the director put a lot of thought into every aspect of the movie. The editor did a great job too I don't feel like I am missing any important points. The story flow and pacing is excellent and the graphics are reminiscent of popular video games. There are a couple of goofs within the animation but it was kind of fun finding them throughout the film. For a low budget movie I was really impressed with the overall quality of the movie. I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Although, I would not recommend this movie for young kids I think teenagers and above would really get a kick out of it. My kids really like the movie, their favorite character is the minotaur. Every movie deserves a chance and overall this one was not a disappointment.

Wow what a film...an epic, intelligent drama and fantasy/adventure that *demands* a sequel, and a prequel!! The graphics are so detailed (love the eye makeup of the female characters), the voices are beyond excellent, and the music and the sound are so perfect for the story. There is also a touch of humor and levity which only adds to the awesome edge-of-your-seat drama. I also was amazed by the incredibly moving opening sequence and artwork. The horror scenes are delightfully shocking and graphic and they rival those of Japanese Animes. Animated films like this, for an older audience, are the best!! "Atlantis: The Last Days of Kaptara" needs to be released in all theaters!
Atlantis: The Last Days of Kaptara is a major studio caliber film produced on a boutique budget, with no concession to creative. I had the opportunity to screen this fantasy at its premiere, and wasn't sure what to expect, as fantasy isn't typically my preferred genre. Kaptara immediately drew me in and retained my attention with its compelling, well-paced narrative and layered, complex characters. The visuals were also of impressive quality, and I especially enjoyed the film's score, which enhanced the overall viewer experience. Kaptara is obviously thoughtful, and the care and dedication invested by the production team and talent is apparent. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and look forward to Kaptara's distribution and subsequent films from Mind's Eye Studios.
