HO JA MUKT (A Sasha Productions Film) Written and Directed by Sumeet Nagdev
.
Review by Shreshtha Tripathi .
"Mukt is a rare movie that deals with how the seemingly harmless inward turmoil of a millennial boy turns into more severe problems. The film has some engaging open hearted conversations on mental heath issues, and is a film that millennials and older generations will connect to alike" .
Darsheel Safary's convincing acting supported by Sarika Singh, Maneesh Verma, Poorvi Koutish, Naman Jain, Shibani Bedi, Krishna Chaturvedi makes a stellar cast. Sandesh Shandilya's touching music adds beautifully to the plot.
. Artists have strong imaginations which must be channelled correctly. Vicky finds himself trapped in his mind. Sumeet Nagdev's script and direction engages the viewer immediately. Some of the heart-wrenching scenes in the first half of the film almost makes the viewer empathise and thus makes them a part of Vicky's journey to freedom.
. The movie uses metaphors that give the mind food for thought just in the right amount. It brings the viewer's attention to deeper issues. The dance sequences certainly keep the viewer hooked.
. Personally, I connected with the film on various levels. We often forget that complex problems have simple solutions. Watch Vicky's journey that takes the viewer through feelings of fear, frustation, denial, love and eventual freedom. Overall, this is the kind of content that the India of today needs to see!

An eye opener for a reality that is synonyms with everyone household... a situation with multiple perspectives, layers, people, personalities, capacities, generations... How to uncomplicate, how to detangle, how to simplify, how to silence the unheard chaos...
So well made, the acting, the direction, the title song of the movie gives me goosebumps everytime I listen. Subtle yet deep music and lyrics, the plot is very intriguing and most generations can relate.
Takeaway - Leaves me pondering whether it's freedom from our own shackles, or of the world that shackles us... Chronicles of freedom from within.

I have kind of a soft spot for this film as I find it quite relatable to quite a few of my own experiences. I also found it to be very well written, executed and edited. Goes to show that passion and hard work go a long way. I hope a lot of youth and their parents watch and get inspired, not just to pursue passions but also to keep a check on mental health. The actors and dancers have done a brilliant job. A huge thanks and kudos to the creators & team for tying it all together so beautifully, addressing extremely pressing matters & creating something that will remain close to my heart, always.
It is a powerful film tackling the youth mental health crisis, highlighted by a stellar performance from Krishna Chaturvedi as mentor Robert. Darsheel Safary's portrayal of a youth struggling with mental health adds authenticity and depth to the narrative.
Krishna Chaturvedi's Robert exudes compassion and wisdom, making his character inspiring. The chemistry between Safary and Krishna's character is electrifying, showing the transformative power of mentorship.
Director Sumeet Nagdev's direction is superb, crafting a compelling narrative that resonates deeply with the audience. The film's soundtrack and cinematography enhance the emotional depth.
'Ho Ja Mukt' is a cinematic masterpiece addressing mental health issues with grace. It's a must-watch, with exceptional performances and outstanding direction. Highly recommended!

A good movie can also distract us from emotional pain or give us a place to put our unshed tears. When you are dealing with issues or mental health struggles, immersing yourself in another world and focusing on the characters, plotline, and story can help you forget about your own issues really good concept with best each short of film watch this film with your family and friends this type of content never found in industry. Films can provide an outlet for their thoughts and feelings-at least for a little while. "When we are feeling depressed, inspiring movies can serve as a kind of timeout from the way we are feeling,"
