It's not amazingly complex but it's a film that you can just switch off your brain and enjoy some action, had a 90s vibe to it, I don't know what people are complaining about the sound track for, I actually thought it made the film better, I agree that some are odd choices but they kinda make it quirky, solid 6.5/10 for me.
Great Netflix movie to watch not sure why so many negative reviews really enjoyed this flick
"Point Blank" has been the name of multiple crime dramas in the past. This one sticks out thanks to the outstanding acting from Frank Grillo's (Abe) and Anthony Mackie (Paul). Frank Grillo´s performance is absolutely one of his best ever. Anthony Mackie´s acting is just sublime and natural as always. I hate to say it but Frank Grillo´s performance is just a dash better. And what a rollercoaster of action scenes. And the pace of the movie. Wow! The plot is straightforward but at the very last second of the movie it comes with a twist. Seldom I write about the music and soundtracks used in movies. However in this movie two songs stick out and match perfectly with the scene playing out right in front of you. "The look of love" by ABC at the end and "Love Missile F1-11) by Sigue Sigue Sputnik. What a match! The movie within the movie in the last 15 minutes is also brilliant. The money shot!
If you like action and crime movies, mark this one. 100% sure you will enjoy this movie.

I queued up POINT BLANK because I felt like a competently done, fun action movie that wasn't too challenging. Guess what? I got exactly what I expected!
As far as plots go, this one wasn't anything too special, except for the fact it was blessedly free of annoying plot holes. No twists, no blunders, no errors.
The cast is very good for this type of affair. Frank Grillo is charismatic as always, Anthony Mackie gets the job done, and Marcia Gay Harden is as deliciously unlikable as we've come to expect.
POINT BLANK was a good distraction. Escapism in the best sense of the word.

I miss a time when you could look up a review for a movie, and read reviews from fans of that genre. Seems IMDB is no longer a place for that.
The plot was nothing mind blowing, but the action was constant, and the well-performed characters were good. I enjoyed it throughout. Why? Because I like action films. If you do too, and you can put your rational, sensible side away for 90 minutes, then you're going to enjoy Point Blank.
All in all this is a great action movie that harks back to the 90's "best of enemies", "victims of circumstance" romps with bullets and snot, and a heap of smashing stuff up.
