Bro, it is a gem. Awesome acting by the entire cast and the director deserves some award for telling the story at exactly the right pace. I thought the first episode was confusing but then everything fell into place as if by magic. Hey Netflix, lets have more Chilean fare if this is any indication of its storytelling and acting expertise.
This is one of the most emotionals shows that i've seen like a chilean citizen. The education on this country is one of the most dirty business that the government support and in this show they expose it and bring it to light with a beautiful story about students of a neighborhood of Santiago, the cradle of capitalism and inequality on Chile, all with a wonderful cinematography, acting and directing, El Reemplazante (2012) is a masterpiece of chilean tv.
An incredible series simply perfect, complex and deep protagonist Carlos Valdivia a character who came from a more privileged world, is put in jail and returns to his reality only to see a totally different world "same world, different classes" his evolution, motivations, conflicts are well written and his evolution with his students is simply beautiful, strong themes such as the lack of opportunities in vulnerable sectors, the gap between social classes, school and family, the abandonment of the state in public education and more perfectly executed and treated, 10/10 performances and although much of the cast were not professional actors, they made it easier to show the harsh reality that existed, intelligent and well-structured script, absolutely each chapter has a self-inclusive message without stopping advancing the plot, moments of social criticism, traumas, and humor, natural and real dialogues from the Chilean street, school, and the upper social classes without sounding forced, a good soundtrack that is well executed in every second of the series make this series one of the best series Chilean history is simply the harsh reality of Chile made into a masterpiece. I hope that one day this series will be revived; it deserves it for everything it achieved and its cultural impact, which made even the country's teachers reflect.

I started watching this series without much expectations, but seeing the setting and the script as I went along with the plot, I managed to appreciate this as a perfect serie. Sincerely it's the best thing I ever seen from Chile, the art with the script are sensational, everything is perfectly done to be able to fit in the story that the serie are telling us. The performance of the actores is another key point, sincerely the actors truly convince you of their situation and social condition. A jewel, just go to see it and enjoy.
