      Not the way of filmaking

Some people think that been fed by their parents with money coming from their pockets, they can do whatever they want, but life is different.

They think that spending something like 6.000 euros at a non official film school, in Madrid, could bring you to be a cinema director; only a few ones with very good talent, end working. Like Nilo Otero, after being a DGA trainee with Millius in "Red Dawn", working now with the best ones: David Fincher and Nolan as a first unit assitant director. But hey! This is USA. Not Spain.

In Spain cinema system is a complete mess, only few ones make new and very good things. Look, for example, to the meteoric career of Galder Gaztelurrutia, from Bilbao, he started very good, now is a mess, but in a few years he has made a name in the international industry. Previously he had worked in TV and comercials, by been and having an OFFICIAL TITLE, from what we call career in audiovisuals or FP 2 (vocational training) in Spain.

If You have done a career without an official title, is quite clear: they only want your money. That is what happens. People has to prepare themselves as a technician. Raquel, you and the people who studied in that "School" dreamed of being something, but there has to be preparation in official studies to work hard in films like me, but it takes a lot till You get to be what You want in cinema (not been fed by your parents money, and not working. That is called: lazy person). Maybe in USA or England is possible, but in Spain it is impossible; You have wasted tons of money, living in Madrid and studying, then for what? To be an unknown ticket seller in one of the cinemas of Madrid? Really? Tell them to give Your parents money (not yours) back.

Maybe if You could go to England, Budapest or the USA You could work in something. But without official studies or english, there´s nothing to do.

I hope You are OK, and tell people not to waste their money on those things called "Unnofficial School of Cinema". More work, less money. Work, work, and work. But unicorns doesn´t exist, and in that school they talk You about them. It is a shame, because they live from people like You, who desperately want to work as a director; please give back Your money to Your parents and be realistic. This Short is a mess, and You a victim of that system.

Don´t waste Your time, done with of everybody´s money in Spain, because cinema here is only done with lots of money from the goverment. That´s a shame, cinema is industry, only a very few ones understand it in Spain, and then They walk out from here, to make their dreams come true.

About the short, it is a mess: 1 star out of 10.
