    Inferno

The cinematography is splendid indeed ,enhancing magnificent but hostile landscape;the soundtrack for once fits the pictures, including such luminaries as Tom Waits whose tired hoarse voice works wonders .

As for the characters, they are clichés ,like in all the "survival movies" ,so fashionable ,mainly at sea when the heroes are lost in the middle of the ocean ; but no killer, no loony peasants,no trained former marines , just ordinary people who have to fight against the elements .I remember being once in this place ,and the temperature was "hotter than July' ,I was not able to stand it ;they say that at night ,it becomes icy but I did not probe it. It's unlikely that these people can survive several days without gallons of water ; even the old "inferno" in which Robert Ryan with a broken leg was crawling across the desert was more credible,

See it for the cinematography ,it deserves it.

Incredibly good movie. Not boring at all

I expected this to be bad but it was actually one of the best survival movies I have seen. This reminded me of The Canyon which is also really good.

The writing and pacing are excellent. The acting is very good. Nothing in the movie is predictable.

    Beautiful scenery and soundtrack

I thought this movie was gonna bore me. But the acting is intense! I'm a native SoCal, there's some areas in our deserts that you just don't go to unless you're well equip and hydrated.

Needless to say, the type of survivalist in this scenario was realistic and as scary. Mischa's character starts off a mystery and without giving the movie away watch how the characters truth prevails.

Great watch, now I let the movie play while I'm cleaning house, because the soundtrack is flipping awesome and the scenery is bliss.

    A Pleasant Surprise

Before I streamed this movie on TUBI TV, I was expecting the usual spoiled brats and misandry, but "Deserted" caught me by surprise. The men and women in this film are a lot more realistic than most films in this category of cinema and the ex con who is looked down on is female. She is actually likable and the when she reveals why she committed murder, I was expecting a lecture on drug abuse or the like. But instead, her revelation opened my ears and I felt more sympathy towards her. This is a good struggle-to-survive movie and after all the horsing around these characters do, you actually begin to feel sympathy for them when they face harsh challenges in Death Valley. Kudos to the female director for not going down the usual path of male-bashing and choosing to respect both sexes, opening the viewer to their struggles over their differences. I hope we see more films like these popping up as we enter the 2020's. We need them.

    Idiots lost in desert

Bunch of unlikeable morons lost in desert. Follows all usual tropes and brings nothing original to mix. Poorly acted and executed. Do yourself a favour and skip.

Burning Moon is in reality 'The Burning Man Festival'
    • Goofs
If 5 people are going to Burning Moon (Burning Man), even for just the Labor Day weekend, they are woefully unprepared with supplies. They would need at least 15 gallons of water to get in past the gate! Not counting clothes, food, tents, gifts. Also, tickets sell out months in advance and can very rarely be bought on the way to it.
