Blye Migicovsky's best animation is still The Toy Shop(with The Count of Monte Cristo of the ones seen so far being the weakest). Swiss Family Robinson is not the definitive adaptation of the story- I am very attached to the 1960 Disney live-action film- but it still makes for a nice 45 minutes. I wasn't entirely crazy about the animation quality, it did seem over-saturated colour-wise and not always very fluid with some blocky character designs. The storm sequence at the beginning was very nicely done though. The dialogue also can get a little corny, and some of the middle dragged for my liking. The music is lovely though with a nice touch of whimsy, and the charming story is still charming with the family scenes sweet and heart-warming and the action involving for children and adults alike. The family are very easy to identify with, I especially liked the father, and you can tell they care a lot for one another. The voice acting is also decent, the soft-spoken dignity for the father was particularly good. In conclusion, nice and charming. 7/10 Bethany Cox
