According to World of Reel, filmmaker/podcaster Kevin Smith privately screened the elusive director's cut of Batman Forever to a selected few at the Smodcastle Cinema in New Jersey on July 1. "You know what I got a copy of?" Smith said in June on his Fat Man Beyond podcast. "Batman Forever, the fucking Schumacher cut...I probably shouldn't be talking about this. Warner Brothers is going to take my ticket away."

The ghost returns to assist against the very being that started it all: the Lipstick Face Demon. Unfortunately, Insidious 5 doesn't do this tyrant much justice, despite him being touted as the big boss in this macabre realm.

One of the intriguing aspects of Insidious: The Red Door is Patrick Wilson directing. He's known for being on camera as the franchise's lead protagonist, Josh Lambert. But this is his debut in the director's char, leaving fans excited to see his vision. He's no slouch in the horror genre, after all, especially since he's also a linchpin in The Conjuring movies, too.

For Insidious 5, Wilson does a commendable job on and off camera in a chapter that seems to put Insidious on hiatus. However, while there is a tease in the post-credits the Further may still be active, there's another cool Easter egg regarding Wilson himself in the actual credits. Wilson reprises his role as Josh Lambert as he and his son Dalton (Ty Simpkins) are haunted by the Lipstick-Face Demon 10 years after the original Insidious. In addition, Insidious: The Red Door will mark Wilson's directorial debut as he continues the story of the Lambert family after Insidious: Chapter 2.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Wilson teased his vision for the franchise's future after the events of Insidious: The Red Door. While he confirms he is done with the franchise, he believes Simpkins, who has played Dalton since the original Insidious, could return. This philosophy defies the conventional wisdom in Hollywood, which has spent billions of dollars in the past decade bringing various comic book characters to life. When it came to Two-Face, however, Gotham Knights proved that sometimes less is more.

Actor Misha Collins, who played the dual roles of District Attorney Harvey Dent and Two-Face on Gotham Knights, discussed some of the challenges inherent in working with special effects makeup in a video on Twitter. Hiding the scarred side of his face until the last moment, Collins described how the prosthetics made it "mostly impossible to say certain consonants," due to how they forced his mouth open to replicate Two-Face's infamous grin from the comics.

The superhero series Gotham Knights has reached its conclusion, recently airing its first season's finale on The CW. The episode also serves as the series finale for the show, as it was announced ahead of the episode that Gotham Knights had been canceled. Actor Misha Collins, who was playing District Attorney Harvey Dent in the series, had slowly begun transforming into his villain alter ego Two-Face, finally turning into him during the season finale.

However, as the show got scrapped after that moment, Collins said that he had hoped to further explore the character.

Harrison Ford told CNN’s Chris Wallace that he wanted a solid ending for Indiana Jones, and he feels that “Dial of Destiny” provides that.

“Six years ago, I thought maybe we ought to take a shot at making another one. The iconoclastic auteur, who is a key figure in Taiwan’s so-called Second New Wave, will receive the prize from the Swiss fest dedicated to indie cinema during an Aug. 6 ceremony held on its 8,000-seat outdoor Piazza Grande venue.

On June 22nd, Legendary Entertainment and the Netflix streaming service will be bringing us “a new epic chapter in Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise” in the form of a Kong animated series called Skull Island. The team explained that Two-Face’s disfigured visage had to be achieved with CGI because of the nature of the technology being subtractive. Prosthetic makeup is additive, meaning it would extend the face and add layers to it, whereas CGI has the ability to remove elements of the face in a way that a prosthetic could not.

The film, co-directed by Norith Soth and Taka Arai, stars Sienna Beckman, Scott Alin, Brooke Diane Flint, Carolyn Matini, Lauren See, Roby Sobieski, Jessica Ann Kelley, Max Aria, Ashley Ann Alvarado, Taylor Judkin, and Lex Woofer and is executive produced by Brad Miska of Bloody Disgusting.

Face: A Frat Party Massacre is slated for a DVD release on August 19th with a VOD date to be announced. The film world premiered at the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival last December.
