Watched with my family. Adult kids enjoyed it and the girls related to story. Especially when parents try to live their lives through children by forcing and emotional blackmailing :-)
Story moves fast and every episode has few different characters that keeps it interesting.
Indian culture is not so different than other ethnic groups, so it is very relatable.
Akash and Amol look like good old college buddies that I can relate to with my college experience.
Hope people like it as much as I did with my family and that encourages the first attempt filmmakers to create season 2.
It will be fun to see how the story develops in the future and things work out for the Malhotra family.

Funny moments and certain portions touch your heart. Story is good and keeps you engaged.
Episodes are short and sweet and not dragged on.
Enjoyed the music and both the songs are worth listening to over an over again.
Show is really enjoyed by both parents and ther adult kids.
Coloring and sound is down well. I suggest to watch with subtitles turned on as there is some Hindi spoken here and there.
Crypto song is catchy and done well.
Can't wait for Season 2 to see what happens to all those characters and what journey they go on.
Congratulations to the young first time filmmakers.
The entire team looks like was having fun and good luck to the entire team.

Upside Brown on Amazon Prime is a standout show that delivers on every front. The writing is hilarious and engaging, it also was just super relatable while watching. Each episode is packed with humor as well as heartfelt moments, keeping viewers hooked from start to finish. The production quality is top-notch, with impressive visuals and a compelling soundtrack. Overall, Upside Brown is a must-watch, showcasing exceptional talent and creativity. Highly recommended!!!!! So proud of all the hard work the cast has put in to this :) Very excited to see what goes on next. Wish you guys all the success!!
I recently watched Upside Brown, a sitcom featuring a predominantly South Asian cast, and I have to say, it left a lasting impression. The show mixes humor with relatable everyday situations, giving me major The Office vibes. The mockumentary-style camera work was spot on, making the awkward, funny moments feel more authentic and spontaneous. What really stood out were the characters. Each one was well-developed, with unique personalities and backstories that added depth to the show. I loved it so much that I showed it to many of my friends, and they had a great time watching it too. Highly recommended for anyone who's looking for a character-driven comedy.
*Upside Brown* is an Amazon series produced and directed by Yash Hatkar and Rahul Dhiman. This nine-episode show delves into the cultural and generational conflicts within the Tyagi family, capturing the struggles faced by both first- and second-generation Indians. The patriarch, Amol, attempts to control his children and wife, unaware of the shifting dynamics that challenge his traditional views.
The series explores the life of Amol's daughter, Shweta, as she resists her father's efforts to marry her off, and his son, a depressed aspiring chef who fails to meet his father's expectations. The narrative also touches on the wife's extramarital affair and the arrival of Amol's childhood friend, whose hidden troubles further complicate the family dynamics.
With its engaging plot and strong performances, *Upside Brown* masterfully highlights the complexities of identity, tradition, and change within a modern Indian family. The series leaves viewers eagerly awaiting a second season to see how these intricate issues will continue to unfold.
I would rate it 4.7/5.0, with outstanding performances by Rajesh Hatkar, Rahul Dhiman, and Rabbani. Accolades to young directors Yash Hatkar and Rahul Dhiman for skillfully handling these complex social issues.
