This movie could have been so much more. But really so much more. With Sam Neill as an actor, I thaught: this will be a nice evening with the family. NOPE !
While the performances, including Sam Neill's, are commendable, they are undermined by thin character development and a lack of emotional depth. The pacing is uneven, with moments of tension interrupted by unnecessary filler that dilutes the impact of critical scenes. The film's attempt to delve into themes of trust and betrayal feels superficial, leaving viewers behind waiting for the action. The real action. Overall, "Bring Him to Me" is a missed opportunity that fails to deliver the gripping narrative it promises.

Boring, storyline all over the place, the story uninteresting, basically 2 guys in a car driving and talking for a majority of the movie. 2 American leads, primarily an Aussie cast and filmed in Queensland Australia.. why bother making it set in America?! I can't tell what accent Rachel Griffiths was going for, Boston? Cause it sounded more Australian if anything. Its just a meh, forgettable movie. Not sure the other reviewers saw the same movie then I did. Don't know, just did nothing for me. Thankfully it was only 96 minutes. And what was with that ending?! It just stops! Don't see this in the cinema, lol.. I had no one else in my theatre.
As in the saying that tells us that if one does not go to the other ... well you have heard of it I assume, so let's skip it, not forgetting to remind you that no pun(s) is intended ... and we (me) are on the safe side after all.
Good actors assemble though I reckon most will especially know Barry Pepper - he really relishes in his role, even when the story (well if you can call it that, there is not much there of course) is really challenging ... and not really giving the viewer a lot of satisfying conclusions ... it does give you some action scenes and there is tension (and thrill(er) moments) of course. A b-movie ... you should be aware what this offers and it does mostly deliver on it ..

This movie races into the cinematic scene with a relentless plot as a getaway driver faces a moral dilemma dictated by a ruthless crime boss. The film, while far from a laid-back watch, offers an engaging experience without taxing your brain. Its concise duration distinguishes it from today's lengthy blockbusters, making it a convenient choice for a casual Friday night. The narrative, though straightforward, weaves in enough surprises to maintain audience interest. This action-packed film is a quintessential guy's movie, encompassing intense shootouts and heart-pounding driving sequences. A quick, thrilling story with the right blend of elements makes it a solid recommendation, especially for those seeking a high-octane escape.
Worth a look just for Barry peppers performance alone.
Slow burn with satisfying ending, filmed in my local town so I enjoyed it on another level.
Movie tell of a heist gone wrong and the price you pay pay for your actions and inactions. Don't be fooled this film doesn't shy away from the hard reality of life and crime.
Supporting cast from the always reliable Sam neil and racheal Griffith but the true star is Barry pepper the man as a face for this and could easy replace as the new Clint Eastwood for our time.
Story may not be new but it's never dull or lazy.
And the action for a low budget product was effective and brutal, what we come to expect these days.

- TriviaTom Evans' screenplay was inspired by the death scene of Nicky Santoro (played by Joe Pesci) in the Martin Scorsese film Casino (1995).
- GoofsAt roughly 12 minutes in, the passenger is complimenting the driver about his car and asks what year it is. the driver says it's a 1970. this is wrong. the Chevy Chevelle in the movie has two round tail lights on each side making it a 1971. the 1970 Chevelle had one square (ish) tail light on each side.
