Natatorium

I'm sorry I wasted an hour and 45 minutes of my life on this. Another overrated, semi-meaningless film (of course Icelandic and, of course, directed by a woman), whose sole purpose in creating it is to appear at festivals and win awards, competing with other similar pseudo-art and pseudo-intellectual productions intended for the respective audience.

Yes, the film starts off interesting and promising, the suspense surrounding the abundance of secrets waiting to be gradually revealed to the viewer is on point. Until a point. Then the ill-conceived and mediocre direction starts to take its toll and the film becomes clumsy and the viewer begins to suspect that the whole story will not be revealed to him, simply because the creative team lacks both experience and knowledge, and in my opinion, talent to solve the difficult task they have undertaken.

I'll stop here because I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I'm sure that most viewers will be disappointed. Those of them who seek a deeper meaning in everything may find some solace in finding, at least for themselves, a reason to justify this pointless production.
