Winona Rises...

A woman returns to her hometown to visit her mother's grave. She has no idea that she's about to be caught up in a vampire uprising. Her mother, Winona (Paula Marcenaro Solinger), is back from the dead and she's out for vengeance against her enemies.

BLOOD REUNION is an ultra-low-budget film with enough interesting characters and a decent story to make up for its lack of funds. It's reminiscent of those wonderful, zero-budget creepers from the 1960's-70's. The cast is tiny, most of the action takes place in actual living rooms, and the special effects are basic. Still, it has a charm that's lacking from so many big-budget movies.

Alternate versions
The video release contains some minor differences in the music cues, and some transitions between scenes, from the original version screened at the December, 2012 premiere. The final shot, a long shot of the warehouse, was also replaced by a black screen.
